Borough Market and beyond

Description
Happy to make this a bespoke tour and be flexible about timings. If you message me we can work something out! While Borough Market is firmly on the tourist trail I will show you the hidden, quirky history that only the locals know. Starting from the famous market we will discover the heroes and villains that makes this corner of London such an amazing place. Guaranteed only small groups away from the crowds in the quiet backstreets. This is a family friendly tour, with a personal touch. Behind the waterfront there is a maze of streets, with 2,000 years of history to uncover. We will hear about Shakespeare and his rivals, who inspired Dickens and the area's dark side! Message me if you would like a private group or corporate tour. This could be an ideal present for the history buff in your life! Find out about my other tours via @stevedoestours

Fun and fabulous! The tour was personalized and catered to our interests. Dr. Steve was super informative and knowledgable.
Stephen was great! We had a shorter timeframe than originally planned and he covered the entire tour for us in 60 minutes instead of 90 minutes. His commentary was both insightful and hilarious. Highly recommend
thanks for the lovely review - it was great guiding you
Stephen is such a charismatic and well researched tour guide. He not only was able to answer all of our questions, but he managed to gauge what we were all interested in and tailored the tour as we went. He never once faltered and made us feel like we were walking around London with Charles Dickens himself. He managed our medium sized group well, but I’m sure he’s capable of hosting many more. Our tour was an hour and a half, the perfect length to soak up all of his facts without fatigue. Well worth the money, would highly recommend employing this skilled tour guide on your trip to London.

Steve is a very well informed tour guide. He made me and my friends feel very welcome. He has brilliant insider knowledge that is very well researched. He is very funny, answers all questions with confidence and knows the backstory of every street in borough! A great tour that I would recommend to anyone on holiday, any tourist or even any local! I had an amazing time and I will be back for another tour very soon! Thanks Steve
Stephen was very knowledgeable, entertaining and accommodating. We were late but Stephen waited for us and greeted us warmly.
Hi Mary thanks for the review! Hope you have a lovely rest of your stay
Our guide Stephen was spectacular! He walked us through all the important sights, gave detailed history stories, took our pictures when we wanted… we couldn’t have asked for anything better. His friendly and helpful demeanor made the tour so personalized.
London has a very own energy. I love the pubs, the frenzy of the streets, the museums (some for free), watched the Christmas tree lighting at Convent Garden, the Christmas lights and the market at Picadilly Circus, walked through the fantastic parks and of course, the shops!
Very interesting and fun tour. Good sense of humor and good stories. Many literary and historically significant highlights were shared.
thanks for the review - glad you enjoyed it
