The tunnels of Củ Chi (Vietnamese: Địa đạo Củ Chi) are an immense network of connecting tunnels located in the Củ Chi District of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam, and are part of a much larger network of tunnels that underlie much of the country. The Củ Chi tunnels were the location of several military campaigns during the Vietnam War, and were the Viet Cong's base of operations for the Tết Offensive in 1968.
Cao Dai Temple (also called Tay Ninh Holy See) was built in 1933 and officially inaugurated in 1955. It is a special religious work of Caodaism (Cao Dai religion), located in Hoa Thanh District, about 4km from Tay Ninh City. In the early 1920s, Caodaism was established in Southern Vietnam but had not been officially codified until 1926. It is the 3rd largest religion in Vietnam borrowing elements of Buddhism, Christianity, Taoism, Confucianism, and Islam. It is currently estimated that there are nearly 3 million followers nationwide, living in 38 provinces and cities, mainly concentrated in South Vietnam.
Black Virgin Mountain (Vietnamese: Núi Bà Đen meaning "Black Lady Mountain") is a mountain in Tây Ninh City, Vietnam. The mountain is the center of a Vietnamese myth about Bà Đen. During the Vietnam War the area around the mountain was a hot zone as the Ho Chi Minh Trail ended a few kilometers west across the Cambodian border. As such there were many battles and American and Vietnamese soldiers based in the region remember the prominent landmark.[1] After the war the mountain turned from a battleground to being famous for its beautiful temples and theme park.

We had such an incredible day with our tour guide Casey! From start to finish, everything was well organised and enjoyable. We visited the Chu Chi Tunnels, the Cao Dai Holy Temple, and Black Lady Mountain—all of which were fantastic experiences and definitely worth seeing. Casey was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole day run smoothly. That said, Black Lady Mountain was absolutely the highlight. It was truly breathtaking—you could easily spend an entire day there. The views are incredible and there are so many amazing photo opportunities! Thank you so much, Casey, for such a memorable experience. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Vietnam!
Our visit to Black Virgin Mountain and the Cu Chi Tunnels was an absolute highlight of our time in Ho Chi Minh City, thanks to our guide Khang. He was friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable throughout the day. Khang gave a very informative and engaging history lesson on the war at the Cu Chi Tunnels, explaining everything clearly and answering all our questions with patience. At Black Virgin Mountain, he shared valuable cultural and historical insights that made the experience much more meaningful. The tour was well organized, relaxed, and never felt rushed. Khang’s passion for Vietnam’s history really stood out, and it made the entire day unforgettable. I would 100% recommend this tour—and especially Khang—to anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh City.
Absolutely outstanding tour guide! Our trip to Black Virgin Mountain and the Cu Chi Tunnels was one of the highlights of our time in Ho Chi Minh City, and that was entirely thanks to Khang. From the very beginning, he was warm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. At Black Virgin Mountain, Khang explained the cultural and spiritual significance with great clarity and respect, which made the visit far more meaningful than just sightseeing. At the Cu Chi Tunnels, Khang’s in-depth and informative history lesson on the war truly brought the site to life. He explained complex events in a clear, engaging way, answered every question thoughtfully, and made sure everyone understood the historical context. The tour was extremely well organized, never felt rushed, and was delivered with genuine passion for Vietnam’s history and culture. I would highly recommend Khang to anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh City—he is an exceptional guide and made this experience truly unforgettable.
We had an amazing experience with Khang as our tour guide on our visit to the Vietnamese tunnels outside of Ho Chi Minh City. Khang was outstanding—knowledgeable and informative throughout the entire tour. He also took us to a fantastic lunch, making the day even more enjoyable. Overall, Khang is not only a great guide but also a wonderful person who truly loves what he does. Highly recommended!
I recommend this trip for anyone for the first time in Ho Chi Minh. Countryside was beautiful and locals are super friendly. Great day
Black Virgin Mountain was amazing! The place was beautiful and comfortable. You can tell there was a lot of effort in building it right. Unfortunately, the private tour did not meet our expectations. The vehicle, although a Mercedes, was uncomfortable in many ways. The air conditioner was not working properly; it couldn’t keep us cool in the back, and the vent air smelled dirty. Our tour guide was tall, so we were cramped in the back seat. To make matters worse, the seats were uncomfortable as well. Our guide made us feel rushed, but he got us around so we didn’t miss anything. The drive back from the Mountain was extremely long, taking four hours to return to HCMC. Not anyone’s fault but maybe they could have suggest a better time to leave. We had to listen to the driver singing under his breath for most of the journey. As we neared our hotel, I felt suffocated and wanted to jump out of the car. I tried to roll down the window for fresh air, but it was locked, so I couldn’t.
The Wonderful trip with many beautiful scenery and amazing guide! We begin our trip at Cuchi Tunnel first which help us enhance knowledge about Vietnam War. We know how difficult the solder had to handle when they lived underground inside the tunnel. Next we come Caodai Temple which is a gorgeous building. Then we go to the Black Virgin Mountain which is the highest mountain in the south of Viet Nam. It was beautiful with stunning scenery.
We had an amazing day trip - the spots are totally worth the visit, and the views from the mountain top are stunning. Our guide, Casey, was super energetic and knowledgeable, so we had great fun throughout the trip. She also took a ton of photos for us and was ok with us altering the schedule a bit, so kudos there. All in all the experience is definitely one of the highlights of our visit to Vietnam
