Black and White Desert Tour 2 Days 1 Night

A well organized tour to White and Black Desert. There is a driver (very polite and understanding man) who will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to Bahariya Desert where you meet Alaa, the host. Alaa prepared a great lunch for us and then started the tour to the Desert. He drove us in many picturesque places (we even did sandboarding) and right at sunset we started camping at the desert. Alaa and his colleague prepared campfire, the tents and sleeping bags for us and an amazing dinner which finished with tea by the fire. In the morning, Alaa prepared breakfast for us and we left to meet with the driver to get us back to our hotel. Alaa also offered us lunch. It was an amazing experience, highly recommended.

This tour really exceeded expectations in so many ways for my family (2 adults and a 15-year-old). Alaa and his team are amazing and the experience is unforgettable. Alaa goes above and beyond to meet all needs! They didn't ask for us to write this review or provide a link. The 5 stars are real. Once we arrived to the Oasis after the 5 hour trip from Cairo we were welcomed by a *huge* and delicious lunch at Alaa's beautiful home. After that, Mahmood and Isam took us to the black desert, Crystal Mountain, white desert, several viewpoints, sand boarding, and camping. They setup camp and cooked a delicious dinner followed by tea, leaving us to relax and watch sunset and stars. The sleeping bags were super warm and cozy. The next morning was a breakfast of fruit bowls, yogurt, boiled eggs, bread with jam/Nutella, coffee and a dozen kinds of tea. A few more stops before returning to Alaa's home, where we were happy to accept the gift of hot showers. (Water is not cheap there!) A very fancy car with a friendly driver returned us to the train station in Cairo. Reflecting on the experience, we are so glad we chose this tour: -Alaa invests in a premium experience. The meals are huge. The car to/from Cairo is private, fast, and fancy. The guides do all the work for you. It is really clear that he cares about providing a great experience. - It's a private tour for your group so you set the pace if you want to stay longer or shorter at a stop. - Alaa, Mahmood and Isam are all from the community so your money is supporting the local economy. - They know the area so well and answered any questions and shared more about what we saw!

After 4h from of driving from Le Caire (which felt quick - the driver is very confortable), we arrived at Alee’s home in Bawiti, and are welcomed like at home. Luckily for us, we were the only one for this excursion, which made it more personal. After a good lunch, we pack the camp and go to the White National desert park and see theses beautiful landscape ! After visiting the Black Desert volcanic Area, the Cristal Area, and the White Desert with the famous Mushroom Valley, we had the amazing experience to sleep into this amazing place (with a beautiful sunset and sunrise) The next day, trip back Bawiti and to Cairo, with the same feeling of « quick trip », even with the 2+4hours of driving. Alee’s team is truly remarkable : Our two guide (Marmoush and ?) were smiling, instructive, sweet, nice and very discreet, perfect for the trip we needed. Alee was also perfect in the informations, contacts and organisation. Thank you EGYPT DESERT STAR, for the memories, and your kindness.

This experience is a must for anyone keenly interested in discovering another facet of this great country. I highly recommend this activity (including the overnight stay in the desert), not only because of the amazing (often surreal and extraterrestrial, please believe me) scenery but because it is made mostly pleasant, comfortable and enjoyable by Alaa and the members of his team. Our journey began by being picked up by Mohammed, our very friendly driver who oversaw our transportation from and to our Cairo hotel and brought us to Alaa’s compound in Bahariya. Once arrived, we were welcomed by Alaa who served us an amazing lunch. Mahmood and Isam, two experienced desert professionals, then took us on our excursion through the black desert, quartz desert and the white desert, which lasted approximately 5 hours. We arrived at our camp base around 6:30 p.m. to enjoy a great sunset. Shortly after our arrival, Mahmood and Isam started preparing our amazing dinner. We then enjoyed tea around a fire camp before getting rest in our tent. We woke up early the following day to witness sunset, again in the most peaceful, soothing and relaxing environment of the desert. Unreal 🤷‍♂️. Going to sleep and waking up in the White Desert, after seeing some surreal and calming landscapes, was a once in a lifetime experience my spouse and I will cherish and always remember! A must do ! I highly recommand this activity with Alaa. The white and black deserts are just amazing ! Alaa take care of its guests and think about everything. The food was excellent, the landscapes, just stunning, the night in the desert, very comfortable with a camel blanket ! I did not expect such a good quality service and it is really worth it. Extremely well organised private 2 day 1 night camping in the desert exploring the Black and White desert . Driver (Fully ) and Alaa’s cousin (Umpf - totally incorrect spelling I am sure and apologies) were fabulous for the whole trip…so organised. We ate extremely well and experienced some amazing desert formations. Felt like we were in another world. Driver Marmoud who drove us from Cairo to meet our desert guide and driver via 4WD car was also an excellent safe driver. Such a great experience and exceeded our expectations…well done to Alaa of Egypt Desert Star. He operates an excellent tour company.
