Skanderbeg Square is the main square of Tirana. It is the biggest square in Albania. Lots of the landmarks we will see during the walking tour are located there.
The Et'hem Bey mosque is probably the oldest still standing mosque of Tirana. I has been built during the Ottoman period. What makes this mosque unique is it's painting and decorations. It is maybe the only mosque in the world to contain Venetian paintings.
This is a monument located near the city center that was intended to glorify the people who poured effort and blood in order for us Albanians to be able to live in a free country.
The pyramid has a very controversial history. It was originally built to serve as a mausoleum for burying the former dictator of Albania Enver Hoxha. But luckily it was never used as such. Today it is a great attraction of the city.
This is a very cool artistic way a local artist used to present to the public the horrors of the communist regime.
Blloku was and still is the most important district of Tirana. It has been a part of the city where were located the residences and villas of the political elite of the communist regime.
This is the biggest park of the city of Tirana and it is otherwise called the lungs of Tirana. It is a great place to enjoy the nature.
This is the oldest castle of Tirana. Beside being an historical site, the insides of it contain luxurious bars, restaurants, souvenir shops and more.
This is the newest and the biggest Mosque in Tirana and in the whole Balkans.
This is a old Ottoman period stone bridge that has lost is function but still is a very attractive historical site to visit.

If you want to explore as much of Tirana in a few hours, this is an absolute must-do. Stivi is absolutely great, unbelievable knowledge of Tirana’s sights and Albanian history. The bike itself was great and the pace of the tour was perfect. I can’t recommend this tour enough if you’re visiting Tirana and you want something different to a walking tour: Thank you Stivi for a great afternoon, your tips, and the cold beer in the park! :)
A fantastic tour with personal attention and information. Guide Stivi lives his profession and is an ambassador for Tirana and his country. He showed us history and today's life with dedication and enthusiasm.
I highly recommend this tour - our guides Stivi and Eva were absolutely amazing. We were a big family - mix of seniors, kids, adults. They made the trip accesible for everyone, being patient with choosing the right bikes, we had enough time for questions, local tips and lot of interesting informations from locals - but not overwhelming! Also, they always annouced what will be the next stop during the tour, and whether we want to go or skip it in order to fulfill our needs. They were very empatic to the whole group. Stivi´s CZech was excellent, we could ask questions in czech language - which was extremely useful especially for our seniors who doesnt speak any other language. The best experience from the whole Tirana! Also, very safe - we were using special lines for cycling wherever it was possible. Bikes were also in very good conditions and well serviced.
Stivi made contact with us before the tour which was reassuring. He gave us an outstanding cycle tour of Tirana. The bikes were excellent and helped us move quickly from site to site. He was very polite and pleasant aswell as knowledgeable about history and current affairs. We thoroughly recommend him as a guide.
Wonderful experience the guide Stivi really loves his job and takes care of his tour attendee. He gave a lot of descriptions concerning history, cultures and habits of Albania, detailing at every sight the bullet points. Besides that,he provaided other useful tips about Tirana. I want to thank him because mede me understand better the country I was visiting.
Stivi is punctual, polite, supportive and respectful; he is knowledgeable and gave me a lot of interesting information about the places we went to. On top of all that he was so patient to take me pictures any time I asked him to; last but not least he also gave me recommendations for places to eat and going shopping according to my interests. He is an excellent guide and his English is great! I recommend this experience to everyone!
We truly had the best time with Stivi. He was really helpful before, during and also after the tour. He was kind and enthusiestic, he was trying to give the best possible experience. The tour was amazing, we had the chance to reach every important sight with the bikes. The bikes were also really comfortable and good quality. We couldn't have been happier with the experience. I highly recommend this trip to anyone who is really interested in the history, culture and everyday life of the locals. :))
Our guide Stivi was probably the best we’ve ever had, and we’ve done a lot of walking and biking tours all over Europe and Asia in the last 15 years. He’s a locally born, raised and university educated Albanian and his English is perfect. He is engaging and responsive and you can tell he loves his work. The bike shop that he works with is also quite amazing. E-bikes are readily available (for an additional charge) and all bikes are quality and in mint mechanical condition. The bike shop offered us a snack on our return and it was more like a meal with several authentic Albanian dishes / samplers. There was no charge, but we did leave a decent tip. All of us would highly recommend Stivi and this biking tour. There was very little hill climbing on our tour and despite the fact that we were all in our late 60s, we could have done this tour without the e-bike boast.
The bike ride with Stivi was brilliant. We visited all of the main sights in Tirana which Stivi talked about in great detail and depth. It is obvious he is very passionate the history, culture and traditions of Albania. His knowledge is remarkable! This was the most informative city bike tour we have participated in (and we have done quite a few) as we find them the best way to get an overview of what there is to see and do in the city. Make this the first thing you do in Tirana as we would definitely recommend it.
Thanks so much for your kind words. I really appreciate it. I enjoyed the tour just as much as you did. It truly motivates me to keep doing what I love and to keep improving every time.
Great bike ride made with guide Stivi. We have visited all the sights and guide took all the time and gave many suggestions (sent them later via Whatsapp). Tip: do this as soon as you arrive so that you immediately get a good idea of what there is to do and where you need to be.
