Upon arrival at the reserve, you’ll be welcomed by your guide and game ranger, who will then take you on an open-air safari vehicle for your game drive. As you explore, you’ll hear fascinating stories about the ‘Big Five’ – African elephants, Cape buffalo, lions, leopards, and rhinos – and how they earned their names. Keep an eye out for these magnificent creatures, as well as giraffes, hippos, and many other species. The reserve is also renowned for its birdlife, boasting over 170 species, including the endangered Black Eagle, from which the reserve derives its name.

This safari tour was one of the highlights of our visit to Cape Town. Cape Coast Explore handled everything professionally and made the whole day stress-free. The drive to Aquila was smooth and the scenery along the way was stunning. The safari was amazing we saw elephants, lions,giraffes, and zebras.
