This was advertised as a jet ski tour and my wife and I were looking forward to it for our 5 year anniversary. When we arrived there were no jet skis and the captain said they don’t do anything with them. I called the company and they refused to refund me and the guy on the phone was very rude about it. The captain of the boat was very nice and a great guy. The company though sucks.

To clarify, Florida Island Tours does not offer or advertise jet ski tours. The tour you booked was our Best of Marco Island Tour, which is a sightseeing boat tour. Any advertising or listing that may have led you to believe you were booking a jet ski experience was not created by our company. We have already raised this issue with TripAdvisor and are happy to continue assisting guests when third-party listings create confusion. Before departure, we spoke with you and explained that we would gladly support a refund request through TripAdvisor based on the circumstances. However, as a small business, we are unable to refund tickets canceled at the time of departure. Our cancellation policy is clearly stated at the time of booking, including that same-day cancellations are non-refundable because those seats cannot realistically be resold once guests arrive for the tour. I would also like to respectfully address your comment regarding our phone conversation. As the owner, I was not rude. I clearly explained our cancellation policy and advised that we were not responsible for an incorrect understanding of the activity purchased. At no point did Florida Island Tours advertise, market, or represent this experience as a jet ski tour. The two seats you purchased on the boat tour were available as advertised, and the tour departed as scheduled. You were welcome to participate in the tour, or decline to participate and pursue a refund request through TripAdvisor, which we offered to support. That said, we appreciate your kind comments about your captain. We are glad you found him friendly and professional, and we thank you for recognizing his efforts.
We opted for a small boat experience as we prefer a more personalized, relaxing excursion. This trip delivered. Our Captain was friendly and very knowledgeable about the area and history. We saw 2 manatee, 2 pods of dolphins, a ray, and a multitude of birds. The Captain was able to encourage a bunch of dolphins to ride in our wake for an extended period. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would highly recommend.

We went on the 2 hour 10000 island tour. Capt Gary was very friendly and very informative. He showed us the local places and the gorgeous beach and home in Marco Island.
