**The Great Sphinx – The Eternal Guardian of Giza** Carved from a single limestone outcrop over 4,500 years ago, the Great Sphinx of Giza has watched over the pyramids for millennia. With the body of a mighty lion and the face of a king—widely believed to represent Pharaoh Khafre—it symbolizes strength, wisdom, and royal power. Shrouded in mystery and legend, the Sphinx has inspired explorers, historians, and dreamers from around the world. Standing before this timeless monument is more than a visit—it's a journey into one of humanity's greatest civilizations, where every stone whispers a story from ancient Egypt.
A visit to Khan El-Khalili is like diving into Cairo’s soul. This centuries-old market bursts with color, sound, and scent — from glittering lanterns to hand-crafted silver, spices, perfumes, and stories in every corner. Wander through its narrow alleys, sip tea at a historic café, and feel the rhythm of old Cairo all around you. It’s not just a market — it’s an experience you’ll never forget
**Al-Hakim Mosque – A Timeless Masterpiece of Islamic Cairo** Built between **990 and 1013 AD** by the Fatimid Caliphs **Al-Aziz Billah** and **Al-Hakim bi-Amr Allah**, Al-Hakim Mosque is one of the oldest and largest mosques in Cairo. It stands proudly beside the northern walls of historic Cairo, reflecting over a thousand years of Egyptian history. Famous for its impressive stone façade, towering minarets, and peaceful courtyard, the mosque has survived earthquakes, wars, and centuries of change. It has served not only as a place of worship but also as a fortress, a school, and a symbol of Fatimid architecture. Today, Al-Hakim Mosque remains a remarkable landmark where visitors can experience the beauty of early Islamic art, admire its unique architectural details, and step into the rich heritage of medieval Cairo.
When you visit Al-Azhar Mosque, you’re stepping into over 1,000 years of living history. Walk through its quiet courtyards, admire the mix of Fatimid, Mamluk, and Ottoman styles, and feel the peaceful energy all around you. It’s not just a mosque — it’s a place where knowledge, faith, and beauty have lived side by side for centuries.
Walking down Al-Muizz Street in Cairo feels like stepping into a storybook. It’s one of the oldest streets in the city, lined with stunning mosques, old gates, and palaces from the Fatimid, Mamluk, and Ottoman eras. Every building has a tale, every stone whispers history. By day, it’s full of life and colors — by night, it glows with warm lights and timeless charm. It’s not just a street — it’s a living museum under the open sky.

Very good experience since it was the 2st time for me to visit Cairo, Reliable people, Honest and very respectful and professional.
Honestly, this was a flawless experience from start to finish. I was joined by Ahmed and Mohammed, who arrived promptly and made my pickup very hassle free. We started the day off with Saladin Citadel. Ahmed explained the historical significance in great depth and was very knowledgeable about everything. We enjoyed beautiful panoramic city views of Cairo. We then headed to the beautiful Khan El Khalil market, where we enjoyed ice cold refreshing sugarcane juice and traditional tea. We explored the Fatemid Cairo on Al Mu’izz street and it felt like a place stuck in time. Honestly Id rate my experience a 10/10. You cannot go wrong, this is a MUST for anyone visiting Cairo who takes an interest in history.
Very good experience, stated with confusion from the pick up to the corporate but finally they found me and the tour was done
You will not be sorry! When I tell you, this was the best tour I ever had. This was the best tour I ever had!Our host was so gracious and patient. He was so knowledgeable about everything. He even helped us to avoid the marketplace where the people were actually haggling formoney. He was able to find us a great location to get souvenir at a reasonable price. All the attractions that we were able to see were wonderful. I will definitely recommend him to our friends when they come to visit Egypt.
We had an amazing tour of the Pyramids and Islamic Cairo today! Everything was well organized, and the experience exceeded our expectations. A huge thank you to our tour guide, Sayed, and our driver, Ahmed. They were both exceptional, friendly, and professional. Since they spoke English, everything was easy to understand and made the day even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour!
Fantastic tour of Cairo! Hotel pickup was perfectly on time, the drive was comfortable, and we felt safe throughout the entire day. Our guide Ahmed gave excellent explanations of the Pyramids and the Great Sphinx. The camel ride was so funny ! We enjoyed delicious authentic koshari, had bottled water available all day, and finished with time to explore Khan el-Khalili, one of Cairo’s most famous markets. Everything was well organized and exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended!
Ahmed was an extraordinary guide. I came with my colleague from Spain, the first thing is that they pick you up from your hotel, you can send them a whatsapp so it gives a lot of confidence!! His explanations are great, you feel comfortable asking questions and turned all facts into an interesting story. He brought us to a very cozy place to try Koshary (super cool meal ⚡️). We saw the pyramids, sphinx, old Cairo, khalili market, etc. Everything was great, we saw a huge part of Cairo, another cool thing is that there’s a private car to bring you to one place to the other. If you are young (or not) and want to have a complete and true Cairo experience with a caring and friendly guide, Pyramid Tours is your best friend 💫
We had a wonderful day with Basem as our tour guide. They showed up early to pick us up in a very nice car and then took us on an interesting tour of the Citadel, Al-Azhar, and Khan Al Khalili markets. Basem was very knowledgeable, has excellent English, and answered all our questions about everything from religion to pigeons. A thoroughly enjoyable day. Our only regret is that we wish we had met Basem at the beginning of our time in Egypt rather than the end.
Basem Akram is an educated and pleasant guide, and I appreciated that he accommodated my request to briefly stop at a gift shop near St. George's church. However, the tour fell significantly short of what was advertised. Key issues: No lunch provided: The 6-hour tour included lunch, but I received nothing, nor was a refund offered. I also had to prompt Basem for coffee and water... Shortened tour: We finished around 1 PM instead of 3 PM, and I was surprised to be dropped back at my hotel early. Missed site: We did not visit Al-Azhar Mosque, a core part of "Islamic Cairo." Unsolicited shopping stop: I was taken to a jewelry/gift shop in Giza that I did not ask for, and felt pressured to buy expensive, fixed-price items - which likely reflects a high (and undisclosed) commission arrangement. Basem is technically knowledgeable about the sites we did see. Unfortunately, his focus seemed to be on his own financial interests rather than delivering the full experience I booked. As an Agnostic Westerner keen to genuinely understand Islamic Cairo, I left disappointed. I share this honestly in the hope that tour operators in Egypt will better align their guides with the advertised itineraries, values of hospitality and in saying this; guides that demonstrate integrity as ambassadors to Egypt. I wish Basem well, but I cannot recommend this tour as it currently runs.
It was a wonderful day. The guide was very professional, available, and knowledgeable. The driver was also very reliable. A true guarantee
