Asked the driver 3 times about getting off at river cruise. Made eye contact the first couple (once in mirror) 3rd time he said I had missed it. We were at the next stop, he pointed in a general direction and said I could walk. I am not getting lost for his amusement! Am making a round trip to get where I am going.
Good idea to start with Train 3 day ticket .. but they promised 20 min between the buses do not keep outside the summer .. much waiting time .
I don’t think we got very good value for our money. We purchased our ticket from a hotel concierge. after meeting a street representative behind HBF for tickets we waited 35 mins for bus to arrive. We started the journey sitting up stairs listening to tour story. We intended to get off in a main shopping area but missed stop as driver stopped mid street we expected beside footpath drop off. We got off later at Potsdam plaza had a brief look again waited 25 mins..Then next stop Alexanderplatz for Xmas markets. Finished waited where we dropped off, bus pulled up down road 50m by time we starting running bus had left in 15 secs. We were waving frantically. Waited for next bus in cold wind hoping to finish tour . Bus arrives 1630 bus driver tells us he’s only going 1 more stop then finishes. We had 3 more stops to near our hotel. We ended up walking home 2.4 km couldn’t hail taxi. Was extremely cranky and disappointed. I will be reluctant to use this service again in our 3 towns,
Should have sign with that color pink sign. They were very helpful and patent with questions. Happy.
Very disappointing to have paid for a sightseeing tour by bus.It was interrupted because of a clash of the bus with a car, it can happen, except that we stayed on the bus for about 15 minutes without explanation (in French). Then we had to get off (do like everyone else) to try to get back on another bus of the same company. Except that one of the four of us (having trouble walking and respecting the rules of the road , the person stopped at the pedestrian red light) could not take the bus , and it started without waiting for the rest. Recognizing the situation, the driver was asked to stop as soon as he could. As soon as we got off the bus, we could not continue the tour. We asked for a refund, to no avail. Not recommended. Visit Berlin on foot if you can.
Great driver. Excellent tour. Would recommend this experience to anyone interested. About two/and-one-half hours.
If you have limited mobility this is not for you! The lower level has screens over the windows which limits visibility to point as ride was useless. The head phone tour commentary would not change to language choice. Unfortunately a very long disappointing 2 1/2 hours
I visited Berlin with my mom and this seemed like a good solution to see the city without getting too tired. Honestly I was very satisfied, probably because I had very low expectations thinking it was the "usual tourist trap". The nice long ride gave us the chance to delve into very characteristic neighborhoods of former East Berlin and see interesting monuments. The explanation in Italian quite good, even if the system was not the best and occasionally croaked and disappeared the voice.
We booked Grayline because it is a familiar business having used in several other countries and been happy. We booked on line and first tried to board at the Hauptbahnhof stop. Once on the bus the tour was OK. BUT although our on line voucher said that the driver would convert it to a ticket we were abused by two drivers and told we could not travel. The first one was rude and abusive. The second one told us we had to buy a ticket from a ticket seller on the footpath. There was NO such ticket seller at that stop. We walked the kilometer to the Brandenberg Gate where a young woman ticket seller converted our voucher. Why even sell vouchers if they cannot be used to board the bus. The voucher had a QR code but the drivers don't have a reader. What a ridiculous unfriendly system!!!
Good and covered all the main attractions but the bus only runs one way roundabout the city and is slow
