First and foremost I would like to thank the guide for his kind and attentive guidance. The trip is in principle well designed. However, we expected a more informative, detailed and insightful description of the places we toured. We hoped for a significantly larger amount of information on the historical context, the artistic and historical significance of the places visited, and - perhaps - also some glimpse of the current life of Berliners. These deficiencies led us to think that the tour is overpriced and shows significant room for improvement.
Dear Matte, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughtful feedback. We truly appreciate your kind words about the guide's attentiveness and are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the overall structure of the tour. We're sorry that the level of historical and cultural detail did not fully meet your expectations. We understand that every guest has different interests and preferred depth of commentary, and we regret that the experience fell short in this regard. Your feedback is greatly appreciated and will be shared with our guide as we continue refining our tours to provide the best possible experience for our guests. Thank you again for your valuable comments, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you on another tour in the future. Kind regards,
Friendly guide - Berlin is always worth a trip
Despina was AMAZING! She was so knowledgeable and entertaining. We learned so many fun stories as well as important parts of history. My 2 daughters (10 and 13) loved the tour and stayed engaged the whole time. Despina is a fantastic tour guide!!
Our guide was fantastic. He showed us a part of Berlin I never would have seen if ot wasn't for this tour. Many things were off the beaten track. He was friendly and explained everything we were seeing. Next time I am in Berlin, I will definitely be taking another tour with him.
I recommend ignoring the verbiage used describing this tour! This tour was so bad, we took a cab back to our hotel after 45 minutes! We use Viator exclusively for several years and can honestly say this tour was the worst.
Dear Donald, Thank you for your feedback. The guide met you on time at the meeting point and introduced himself, as he always does with all his guests. He understood that you had just arrived in Berlin that day by train and were feeling quite tired. Unfortunately, the weather that evening was not ideal—it was cold, drizzling, and windy. Since the shops were already closed, there was no opportunity to purchase umbrellas, which understandably made continuing a walking tour uncomfortable. Shortly into the tour, you informed the guide that you preferred to return to your hotel early. You explained that, due to the weather, fatigue, and concern about getting sick—especially with two more weeks of travel ahead—you would rather not continue walking in the rain without proper protection. The guide completely understood and respected your decision. He kindly offered the option of taking a short break indoors for a drink and resuming later once the rain subsides or stops, but you declined, and he assisted you in calling an Uber and waited with you until it arrived. He believes you would have truly enjoyed the rest of the tour under better conditions, as the most scenic and beautifully illuminated parts of Berlin—such as Museum Island, Unter den Linden boulevard, the Brandenburg Gate, and the Reichstag—were still ahead. Nevertheless, he appreciated that you made it clear your decision was based on the circumstances and not on the tour itself or his guiding. We wish you a pleasant and healthy continuation of your travels. Please let us know if there's anything else we can do for you.
