Itinerary
Beng Mealea is about 60km away from Siem Reap. It's takes about an hour and a half to driver there. Because of the location of the temple, it isn't as busy as the other temples at Angkor Wat. This is one of the reasons why we love visiting Beng Mealea, because you're not surrounded by thousands of other tourists. The surrounding thick forest also makes it a unique place to visit. It's generally pretty cool all year round and you can take your time exploring the ruins of Beng Mealea. After exploring the temple, we'll stop for lunch in a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we'll head to Kampong Phluk Floating Village ( Or Meychrey from March to June). There are around 700 Khmer families living here. In the dry season, the houses sit about 6 to 8 metres above the ground. In the wet season when the Tonle Sap floods, they are just a metre above the water level. You will also explore the flooded forest.

we want to to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Bunpheng for arranging a great tour to Siem Reap for us. It is certainly a memorable trip for us. Bunpheng did great engaging the kids in telling them the many stories behind the ancient temple in Siem Reap including Angkor Wat. Both of them can still remember the stories you shared with them. Many thanks once again and we will certainly refer our friends heading to Siem Reap to your company for tour services.
Dear Customers, We are so glad to know that your kids were able to learn stories and history of temples with Bunpheng. Thank you again for having us showing you and your family around Siem Reap-Angkor Wat. Happy New Year Angkor Doors Team
