We will meet and greet, start to introduce ourselves (The guide), and the general brief information about the city before starting the tour.
We will spend time walking around and inside this popular market to see the daily life of the locals, how they make a living, seeing how our local market differentiates from your country. we will also pass through pub street and hear about the history of this general area before tourism arrived.
We will make our way to see one of the oldest monasteries in town nearby the old market, this monastery is dated back to the 14th century. we will learn about the monk's daily life and more...
We will stop here to check out the local shrine and the park where all of the big bats live and we will also check out the local quiet residential areal where the hidden gems are located. Visit local shrine where local people go to pray and blessing by the monks and learn about our ritual of our local culture.
This is where we will see one of the hidden gems of an old 10th-century building temple located just along the riverside area.
This is another interesting place we will check out on our way, the Apopo Rat Center where they trained this Rat to detect the landmine, please note you will pay separate tickets for this (8 USD Per Person), and you will hear a story about the start of the landmine and how we try to clear all of these landmines around Cambodia.
We will check out this center where they show you workshops in stone carving, wood carving, natural fiber weaving, painting, and silk weaving. this center is aim to support local craftsmanship and creat local jobs for the people in Siem Reap with thier skills which pass on from thier genreation.
if you start the tour in the morning around 8 or 9am, then we will also take you to have lunch as well before take you back to your hotel or you can decide if you want to do lunch by your own.

Fantastic tour, we saw some really great things including the Hero Rats which are incredible. Lux was a tremendous guide Was a perfect tour to compliment Angkor Wat
This is a great way to see some of the lesser known sites. The tour covered five locations including Appo where they train the rats that find the landmines. Very informative. Our guide was excellent and could answer any question about the city and Cambodia.

We had a great time with our guide Vin. We were particularly interested in the way Buddhism is practiced here, and we felt incredibly lucky to get such a knowledgeable tour guide. Vin was a monk for many years, studied Buddhism at the bachelor level, and taught young monks in a Buddhist school, so he was clearly very familiar with the core teachings of Theravadan Buddhism. He was happy to explain the deeper practices of the religion and not just the way it's practiced by lay folks. He was very flexible and accommodating based on what we were interested in. For example, he said we'd spend 10 minutes at the monastery, but because we were so interested in it, that turned into an hour. We were able to take our time at lunch and other stops without feeling rushed at all. The stop at APOPO isn't included in the price, but we highly recommend spending the small price of admission ($10/person) to visit and support a great organization. Overall, this was a great introduction to Siem Reap and we were glad to have done it!
