Bears Sanctuary, Dracula's Castle, Brasov Day Trip Private Tour from Bucharest

Our guide is a friendly man and communicates well, is on time at the agreed place. He talks a lot about the history and architecture of Romania. He showed us new sides of Romania, an enthusiastic guide who speaks English very well.

It is a long day and you have to be prepared for climbing steps at Bran Castle and a mildly steep walk at the bear sanctuary but all in all a very good experience

Nicolas organised a private tour for 7 of us, ages ranging from 14 to 50. We wanted to go to Bran Castle, Peles Castle, Brasov and Libearty bear Sanctuary - a lot to fit in to one day! Nicolas was very accommodating and picked us up from our hotel at 6am. It was Halloween (31st Oct), so very busy with lots of traffic! By the time we finished at the bear sanctuary and Bran castle, it was already lunch time and we would have had very little time in Brasov, so Nicolas suggested we skip Brasov (where we would have been rushed, and then been late for our Peles castle slot), and the drove us past the castle where Wednesday was filmed, and then to the monastery where Vlad is buried (after Peles Castle) - perfect for Halloween! We got there late, but Nicolas called ahead and they kept it open just for us! He also gave great recommendations for restaurants. He's a fantastic driver, very friendly and made us all feel at ease. He has a great sense of humour, providing a lively and interesting tour. I would definitely recommend him to anyone visiting!

Sometimes heart wrenching, but warming to see the great work these people do to help those animals who cannot help themselves. Our guide Vincent went the extra mile to make sure our experience was memorable then showed us Dracula's castle and went out of his way to show us hidden gems of Brasov

A lovely relaxed day!! Didn't regret spending the extra money on the private tour after we saw all the coaches 🫣 Our driver Dan was absolutely amazing! He spoke brilliant English, very polite, very informative and very helpful. First stop, the bears. It was so sad to hear all the horrible stories but lovely to see the happy ending the sanctuary had given them! 🐻 We then stopped at Bran where we visited Bran Castle (Draculas) which was brilliant. Dan took us around the castle and told us the history.... Bran itself was a lovely town. Afterwards we went to Brasov where Dan helped us to find a restaurant that service soup in bread! Which was delicious 😋 Here we had free time to wonder around on our own.... Brasov is sooo nice, I would of stay a night if I could. It is a long day but with no limits or rushing, it was worth it! On that note I'd highly recommend this trip 😁

Nikolas picked us up outside our apartment in central Bucharest bang on time. Car was very well kept and had water + chargers inside. Nikolas was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Romania and very accommodating about any small changes to the schedule e.g. stopping to grab a bite of food. He first took us to the bear sanctuary before Bran castle and then Braşov. All were excellent fun. He was full of recommendations at each and also gave us some superb tips for when we returned to Bucharest. Highly recommend.

Excellent tour, beautiful drive and great sights. Nicolas is an amazing tour guide. Knowledgeable, flexible and easy to talk to. 10/10, would definitely recommend!

Our driver / tour guide were fantastic, ensuring we had a smooth and enjoyable journey throughout the day. He has even made addition stops possible. We had an incredible experience on our one-day trip and would highly recommend to our family and friends.

My mother and I signed up for this tour on our last days in Romania with only a day’s notice, which Nicolas and Dan graciously accommodated. It was a bit rainy so there were very few people at Bran Castle, letting us take our time and get the most out of Dan’s tour. After that, we went to Brasov and Dan took us through the Black Church and a history museum, where Dan’s explanations were invaluable in understanding the artifacts and history. He was patient as we wandered through the markets and gift shops, even going out of his way to take us to a Starbucks so my mother could look for a souvenir mug. Dan took us to a traditional Romanian restaurant that we never would have found on our own, which had delicious food. I really appreciated how relaxed and easygoing Dan was as a tour guide. We chose not to see the bear sanctuary due to time. Overall, this was an excellent experience and I would recommend it to anyone! Thank you for giving us one last adventure in Romania!
