Bavarian Fiesta Snorkel Activity in Glass Bottom Boat at San Miguel de Cozumel

This tour was good for what it ended up being but it was not the tour that was advertised. Be aware you will need to make your own way to/from meeting the boat for the tour. It is not a long way from where Carnival comes in but you will need to get a taxi to/from. The tour guides were both wonderful and very helpful with the snorkeling. The main downside was the tour was it was advertised as a shipwreck snorkel and glass bottom boat. The boat was glass bottom but only a small area and you could not see thru to the water. We snorkeled at two spots both of which were very nice and we saw lots of wildlife but not at a shipwreck.

Very confusing and disappointing booking process. Asked where to pick me up and then nobody showed to be told that I needed to pay for transportation but never prompted for payment for such. Ruined a day on my vacation that I thought I would be snorkeling on.

Jose and the Capt were great! They helped us any time we needed it, took us to great spots, and the food they made was amazing. We were visiting on a cruise, and my wife, daughter, and myself had the entire boat to ourselves. I would absolutely do this again!!

We booked a private tour with Bavarian Fiesta back in October 2023 for our cruise stop in March 2024. We had to cancel the trip and even though we were well within the cancellation window, never received the 50% refund of our deposit. All communication attempts (email and WhatsApp, both of which we used to book the trip) were ignored and we never heard from them/Alex again. Can’t speak to the actual trip since we never got to go on the excursion, but I wouldn’t recommend booking with Bavarian Fiesta since you’ll never receive your promised refund should you have to cancel. Unprofessional!

We booked this trip having read reviews that you don’t receive the photos that were taken, but thought there may be more to it in each case so booked anyway hoping things may have changed. This was a great trip, our guide was great, he asked us what we wanted to see and made sure we went to the locations where we could see them! We loved seeing the turtles, baracudas, star fish and rays up close. Our guide went to great effort to ensure we got great photos, getting us to dive down to the star fish to get a good photo, and feeding the fish so they came close to us. We looked at the gopro photos on the boat on the way back and were very excited to receive them. Unfortunately, 9 weeks later and having requested the photos numerous times from Alex and our guide directly on Facebook, we have not received any photos. We were informed by the company and the other lady on our trip that our guide had tried to sell the photos to her (though Alex stated they were included) and she has also still not received them. The company and guide have blamed each other and the company have stopped replying to our emails… Its a good trip to book but please take your own underwater cameras so you don’t miss out and don’t pay full price to have photos included as they are not included!!

The "glass bottom" was covered with gear, the "Mexican food" was chips and salsa and we did not get our photos.

My wife and I were in Cozumel for our honeymoon and we found the bee Varian fiesta snorkel adventure and decided to take the four hour tour. Erik and Raul were our boat driver and snorkel guides and they did an amazing job! We had an incredible time, stopped at three or four snorkeling spots, and they made a delicious feast of fresh ceviche and guacamole with traditional chippas is to dip. They also supplied plenty of German beer and margaritas thought the day! My background is German, and so I really loved the flair of Deutschland and prompt communication from Alex on WhatsApp. Thank and you we highly recommend. If we take another trip to Cozumel with our family, we are looking forward to taking all of them out on her family excursion with the Bavarian Fiesta Banana Boat!

The tour guides we’re really nice but we never got our photos from the gopro like the owner said we would.

DO NOT BOOK THIS. We did not get the tour we booked. I read many reviews and decided to spend extra on this tour just to be handed off to another tour at the last minute. It was a very large group, did not speak our language, had no German beer, and the snacks and drinks were extremely limited. We were told we could have ONE beer and how ever many "margaritas" we wanted. The margaritas tasted like lemon soda. We also were not taken to the shipwrecks as in the description. I got the impression that our booking was "sold" to the cheapest bidder.

Absolutely loved the guide and captain, the ceviche and guacamole were amazing and the first and second stops were fun. The day we went out, seas were not favorable for the initial snorkel stops we had hoped for. In hindsight we wish we would have been notified and given the info ahead of time. We may not have gone but we had a great time. Couple of critiques. We were told not to worry about paying for the GoPro footage because it would be sent complimentary. Wr have yet to receive anything. Secondly, getting into the water, a ladder was not an option. The ladder was only used to get back into the boat. With the waves present during our excursion, the ladder would have been nice. All in all, we would do this again with a could have requests in advance. Ceviche, fruit and guacamole were awesome as was the company of the guide, captain and others. Hope to get the footage soon!
