As soon as your cruiseship arrives to Costa Maya Port, travel through history from the Mayans to the pirates, just one hour away from Costa Maya Cruise Port. Start your adventure in one of the least explored archeological sites in the Maya Zone that date back to 200 BC. and let yourself be surprised by the incredible monuments, flora and fauna that the jungle has to offer you. After visiting the jungle and the Mayan city of Chacchoben, we will go to the Bacalar lagoon, a famous haven for pirates, where you can relax, swim or enjoy a kayak ride in the refreshing waters of the seven-color lagoon. Take a short break eating some delicious fajitas with your favorite drink at the edge of the lagoon or just enjoy the breeze and incredible landscape. We recommend this tour if you visit Costa Maya for the first time.

- This tour will depart one hour after your cruise arrives to port from Plaza Las Fuentes, conveniently located just a few steps away from the main access of Costa Maya Port.
- Please note that the total walking time from your cruise ship to the meeting point is about 15 minutes.
- IMPORTANT: Travelers coming by cruise ship must provide the full name of the ship.

- You will be back to the port before boarding time, guaranteed!
- No port, no pay! Guaranteed full refund if your cruise ship does not call port in Costa Maya at all

At first we weren’t sure about booking outside Celebrity Xcel, but this turned out to be the highlight of our stop in Costa Maya. Luis was friendly and really knew the Mayan ruins. Small group, no rushing, no waiting around. Bacalar was gorgeous and relaxing. Would 100% do it again.
Honestly, we were a little nervous about booking outside the cruise, but after meeting Mike right outside the Costa Maya port, we knew we made the right choice. Sailing on Allure of the Seas, the cruise option was more expensive and way bigger. Walking through the Chacchoben Mayan City felt relaxed and personal, and later floating in the Bacalar Lagoon was unreal. We were back with plenty of time before all-aboard — no stress at all.
Lagoon was for us alone, with good authentic food, Joshy, the guide, fulfilled all the wishes of the holidaymakers. Driver with good new minibus

Horrible experience as we booked Costa Maya ruins and lagoon combo. Upon arrival I was told there was a mistake made and we will not be able to compete both as their vans are full.

Our tour Guide was Great! We did not catch his name, but he is short, chubby with black groomed hair and is extremely Proud of his Mayan Descendent Heritage! He is very knowledgeable about the Mayan History and the Temples at the Mayan ruins site. And he took good care of us. It was about a 40 -45 mile enjoyable trip. Great Beach at the 7 shades of blue lagoon and street Tacos and Pina Coladas included.

Me and my husband had an amazing time and enjoyed every second. The water was beautiful and our driver was great his name was Tacho. Our tour guide was very sweet and she told us everything she knew about the mayan ruins I would totally recommend this excursion with anyone you are with.
