The tea ceremony with Kaori was my favorite experience in Kyoto. Kaori is very knowledgeable about the traditions and very professional but also kind, warm and willing to answer every question. The tea house is beautiful-lovely and peaceful garden. We did it as a private session and it was magical.
The tea ceremony was exactly what I was looking forward to. The tea house itself has a lot of history and the tea room was one that you’d crawl into. The experience was authentic and we thoroughly enjoyed learning about the history of the tea ceremony and our host was wonderful.
Wonderful education on a true Japanese tea ceremony! Everything about the tea ceremony and what every step represents was explained.
Lovely hostess- gentle, peaceful experience. We had the pleasure of watching her perform the tea ceremony and then each try it as well.
Excellent experience! Thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated our tea guides’ patience and warmth and the lovely practice of tea. Thank you so much. A must do in Kyoto.
Absolutely amazing and peaceful experience. Learnt alot about how special the ceremony is. Would highly recommend 😊
Super friendly lady who explained us all the ins and outs of Authentic tea ceremony and also let us experience for ourselves The ceremony lasted only 45!minutes, I thought the 35 euro was solid at the price.
Great experience. Very authentic. Private and not touristy. The 130 year old house being used as a traditional tea house is what sold us.
A friend of mine who travels to Japan often suggested a tea ceremony. This was my second trip to Japan and Kyoto. I was so happy to experience this authentic tradition and learn about the history. Our hostess was lovely and made us feel very welcomed. Great experience! I even bought a matcha brush after this event and being introduced to Matcha.
Wonderful experience with a gracious and knowledgable host! An authentic and beautiful setting. Definitely recommend!
