Itinerary
Our first discovery stop is at the Berber village farmers market where the locals gather for their weekly shopping . The Markets take place on ( Sundays , Mondays , Tuesdays , Thursdays and Fridays and Saturday afternoon ). The days the market are not running we have the option to visit a local Berber heritage museum. Then we visit the Argan oil cooperative. It is a locally produced oil found only in Morocco and hand made by women . It is very labour intensive and the produce is a rich oil with amazing properties for skin, and delicious taste for cooking. The cooperative also provide income and education for local women.
We then leave the Ourika road to take a mountain road heading towards the second valley ( Asni) On the way, if you like, we offer the possibility of a light walk to admire the landscape and soak up the calm and fantastic views of the Atlas Mountains foothills. The route is very scenic and we can stop at any locations you feel is worth it, especially if you want to take photos. On the way we meet a great number of local children from the villages and you are welcome to bring with you some school stationery (pencils, erasers, notepads or some small items of clothes : hats, gloves, socks ..) to distribute as it is always needed. Lunch is set at a family Berber house overlooking a local traditional village and with a stunning view of the Toubkal mountain ( 4165 m alt ) and the Atlas range . Lunch is cooked with local produce and we can also cater for vegetarians. After lunch we head back to Marrakech via the Asni Valley, a vey lush valley with a great variety of fruit trees providing a wide range of green tones against the red earth colour of the ground .
Feel like a nomad and experience a camel ride around the mountains guided by a native berber . 30 minutes ride followed by mint tea underneath a traditional tent .

We loved our trip to a Berber village in the Atlas Mountains! Hamza was our driver and he was so informative, professional and respectful of our needs.
Going alone to discover the Merzouga and Ouerzazate desert, Adil had planned for me an exceptional 3 day stay with one of his very experienced guides! Thank you very much for this trip that will remain etched in me 🙏 I highly recommend this professional and will call on him if needed 😃
Watch this reservation. Lack of seriousness and absolute professionalism. After stopping the reservation made and paid well in advance. On the day and time set for the collection, no one appeared to pick us up, without any notice or explanation, causing irreparable damage.Afterwards the excuses given (error in the names, in the reservation number etc) are absolutely false, since in my documentation everything is correct. Conclusion !!
Today was a wonderful experience that I would recommend to anyone. The journey through the Atlas Mountains is truly breathtaking and the lunch we had at a Berber family home was the highlight with a view of the highest peak in the Atlas and a charming 2 year old called Abdul to entertain us. Thanks also to our excellent guide Amine who managed to be informative, and unobtrusive at the same time. He was also a careful driver which you need on roads I wouldn’t fancy driving on.
Highly recommend taking this all day tour through the Atlas Mountains! It was an incredible day and the lunch was amazing! The trip was made even better and more spectacular because of our guide - Amine. He was amazing, friendly, knowledgeable, a skilled driver (big deal in the Mountains) and super fun to be with! Amine made a great day that much more incredible!
I had not posted a comment in April 2023 and looking for this one for friends, many beautiful memories! Not to be missed.
Amine was a great guide during these 2 days. We loved it!! Morocco was a moving encounter and we will return
Two excusions to the top! Beautiful places and we really have time to enjoy. A special mention for Amine our guide. An outstanding driver and very friendly. We feel really well taken care of.
Je vous remercie beaucoup d avoir pris le temps d écrire un bon revue sur Amine Je suis content que vous avez passé une belle expérience avec nous . J espère vous voir très vite envie à Marrakech. Bien à vous
Booked day trip from Marrakech to the Atlas Mountains. We couldn't make a better choice. What a great day we had with Adil! He took us into the mountains and showed us the most beautiful places. Along the way regularly stopped for the pictures and short walk. Went to the local market together. We could soak up the culture and admire the beautiful scenery! Visited the women who make the argan oil. Together with Adil we drank Moroccan tea by the river. Had some nice conversations. Adil told us a lot about life, Moroccan culture and the customs of the Berbers. He is very friendly and passionate! And the most beautiful was the delicious lunch with the beautiful view of the Toubkal at the Berber family! So if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city book a trip to the mountains with Adil. You get to see so much of the most beautiful and you will certainly not regret it. Again thank you so much Adil. It was the day to remember! Iwona and Mark Uit Venlo
I can highly recommend this tour. Adil was a great guide and his brand new Toyota Land Cruiser was ideal for the bumpy roads out of town. The main highlight is the lunch! I would repeat this trip just for that. The food was delicious (probably the best Moroccan food we had in our 5 day Marrakesh trip). And the location is breathtaking. I could have stayed there for hours. Spectacular view of the mountains from a charming Burber family home. We were thankful that our tour was private. It was way more comfortable than in a minibus. Also we didn't see any other tourists at all during the whole day. This can be a plus or a minus depending on your preferences, and also it means that this tour doesn't include the typical sights of an Atlas Mountain tour, but for us the private tour away from the waves of tourists made it better. Arranging the tour was easy over WhatsApp. Adil didn't even ask for a deposit. He gave clear instructions for pick up. We didn't end up doing the camel ride but we didn't really miss it. The day was a great already.
