An unforgettable day!

We had a great day with our superb Guide Mohamed. Hiking and scenery were great, the meal was delicious and the camel ride in the Agafay desert really pleased us. Mohamed is the Best Guide, he is attentive, kind and kind. He doesn’t hesitate to help if we struggle in difficult paths. This activity put stars in our eyes, a memorable day! We highly recommend Mohamed and his activity!

Great guide and new friend

My husband and I decided to do a summit hike in the Atlas Mountains. We were paired with Mohamed and I couldn’t be happier. From the start he was very clear about how long the hike would take and what we would see. The pace was perfect for our abilities (early 30s with hiking experience). Mohamed pointed out landmarks along the trail and even took photos for us. The lunch was the best mountain meal I’ve had and there was an abundance to go around. We made good time so we were able to make an extra stop at the waterfall. Before arriving, Mohamed invited us to his home where we had mint tea and homemade cookies on the terrace that overlooked the village and mountains. You can tell that Mohamed is experienced with his trekking and guidance. We were able to hear many stories of his treks. I would recommend Mohamed as a guide and also a friend. Thanks so much for the great day!

Incredible Day Tour

Our morocco highlight trip with Mohamed This was our second time visiting Morocco and this tour is the highlight of both trips. We booked the private tour (for my husband and l) which I highly recommend doing. We were picked up VERY close to our Riad and the host communicated with us prior to our pick-up to ensure everything went smoothly. On the way to the mountains we stopped a few times to take photos and stretch our legs. We booked the tour for a Saturday, which gave us the opportunity to stop at a local market which we very much enjoyed. The hike in the mountains was lovely and the views are breathtaking. We had tea upon arrival to our lunch destination and my goodness, the traditional Moroccan meal was hands down the best food we've had the entire trip. We truly cannot recommend this tour enough!

Best Way to Explore Atlas Mountains

I reached out to Aitidar when I was in search of a private tour for my husband and me from Marrakesh to the Atlas Mountains. Many other tours are typically one-size-fits-all and include activities like camel rides and lengthy hikes, which weren't suitable for me due to arthritis. However, Aitidar was different, offering flexibility and personalised options that catered to our specific needs and preferences. Our adventure began when we were conveniently picked up near our riad in a comfortable 4x4 by the friendly and attentive guide, Mohammed. He made an extra effort to show us a bit of the rocky desert landscape, which we had expressed interest in exploring. Our journey continued as we made a stop at a traditional Berber village for a refreshing tea break. Then, we headed towards the mesmerising Atlas Mountains, where we were treated to a delectable home-cooked lunch with a view that was simply breathtaking. After lunch, we also had the chance to explore various local beauty spots, making every moment an enriching experience. Aitidar kept checking in to see if we wanted to do more hiking or less, being completely open to our preferences. Both Aitidar and Mohammed were exceptional companions throughout the trip. They were not only informative but also incredibly flexible, going above and beyond to ensure that our day trip was tailored to us.

Toubkal accent with "Morroco's tours with locals "

It was 5 day trip starting from Marakesh airport -transfer by the Guide Muhammad and Hassan to mountain village called Imlil where we were hosted by Muhammad's family with warm welcome and tagine with freshly cooked vegetables or chicken. In mid March was very cold so you would need layers and your winter gear. Next day we walked a pleasant trek if 3 hours with lots of little restaurants on the way for food and water to Toubkal refuge where we slept. Bedrooms are freezing cold so you'd need to sleep with your winter clothes or maybe bring electric heater what will possibly warm your feet before going in your sleeping bag. The toilets weren't great or enough and got to wait for long for them as well there wasn't any warm or any water on the sink as it freezes at night. So be prepared to that inconvenience maybe with wipes. Third morning was the accent what was gaided by Muhammad and his brother Ismael and we made it for around 4 hours of course wearing crampons and your winter gear with tinner layers as it was sunny all days at the day. (Suncream is a must) Toubkal was very friendly and welcoming that day with no wind or any obstruction. The altitude become a bit tougher but was doable as the guides were stopping us for regular breaks and even carried some of the people's rucksacks. They treated us with sandwiches and snacks on the way back and honestly it felt so much easier with them. The decent was so much fun, we ran and sledged on our bums of course where it was safe, it took an hour and 1/2. That's was absolutely 💯 pure fun decending in a snow. It plunges you back and makes it easier 70%than on dry ground. We stayed one more night in the refuge and the dining hall was warm and full with people from all over the world. We got to sleep in a freezing room with 7 other people from the group we hiked and it wasn't the best experience but that's the price to pay climbing magnificent Toubkal unless you pay a bit more for private guide. Next morning back to Imlil in Muhammad's House with big dinner (rosted lamb) and they cook vegetables if you are vegetarian. Then the local lads came and along Muhammad who is amazing singer, performed local dance and songs what was really amazing. His family was very friendly and his mum and sister must be the best cooks, and the food was organic and fresh as well as plentiful. Next day back to Marakesh and a hotel. On a way we stopped at local argan oil refinery what was one of the best places and bought pure argan oil. In Marakesh- Please do not go to the local hammams - they are very unclean and using the same damp towels and the masseuses were improfessional and inappropriate. The Marakesh market was full with motorcycles even in the narrow roads and paths but they didn't care much about that or their speed so watch out the whole time for them. If you want headache and stress then you might enjoy the market. There were chained 🐒 🙈 🤯😭and lots of amphibians captured in crowded cages. 😥😭And you got to negotiate the price for every single thing. Hotel was not bad and the breakfast was freshly made. Finally If you are looking for a guide to Toubkal and other Atlas mountains or interesting destinations in Morocco, please don't hesitate to contact "Morocco's tours with locals"because Muhammad and Ismael are experienced and knowledgeable, they were linguistic in three languages-French,English,Arabic and they will make your trip saver, faster and more pleasant. For them only the sky would be limit.
