Catch the train from Athens Train Station at 8:28 am to Kalabaka and admire the beautiful Greek landscapes during your trip. Arriving in Kalabaka at 12:49pm our lux Mini Bus will be waiting you at the Kalabaka Train Station with our highly educated , Spanish speaking , Tour Leader to begin your customized Special Panoramic Midday Meteora Tour. Take an amazing 4 hours Meteora tour, see all 6 monasteries and visit inside 3 of them. Your Tour Leader will give you full attention and care as the group will be small. Plenty of photo opportunity stops and many secrets places that only locals know will make your tour a life time experience. In the end, will be transferred back to Kalabaka Train Station to catch the train back for Athens , you will have also the time for a nice walk to the city of Kalabaka. The train departs at 17:35 and you will arrive in Athens at 21:57.

Important Information

- Departure place: Athens Train Station (Larissis Station) be there at least 30 min before the departure of the train at 08:28am
- Meeting point: Kalabaka Train Station (we will hold a sign with your name)
- Your train tickets are e-tickets and will be sent to your email 4 days before the trip or immediately if it is a last minute reservation. It is not necessary to print the train tickets you can just have them on your phone.
- Supplier is not responsible for any train delays that might affect the duration of the tour. Your guide and minivan will be waiting for you at Kalambaka train station and are guaranteed to return you to the station in time to catch your return train to Athens
- Appropriate clothing for everyone is required to enter the monasteries. For ladies skirts by the knee or longer are required. No pants for ladies, no shorts, no sleeveless shirt. For men sleeveless clothing and shorts over the knee are prohibited.
- ***IMPORTANT UPDATE from September 2023 until further notice: due to the recent flooding affecting train services, this tour will be operated by a modern air-conditioned bus as replacement departing from Athens Larissis station at 07:45am. The journey takes approximately 5 hours (with a 20 min refreshment stop) You will spend 5 hours in destination visiting Meteora and then return to Athens (arrival at approximately 11:00pm)***

Beautiful experience, I loved the tour; even though the trip is long, it was worth it. We visited 3 beautiful monasteries. The bus was on time; we made 2 stops during the trip. The guide was very kind and friendly.

The experience of visiting Meteora has been worth it, despite being very heavy to do it in a single day with almost 5 hours of bus from Ida and as many back, since there is no train to take you there. It's an amazing place, unique in the world

The truth that is worth going with them, although the journey is long once you are in meteor Alexandra makes everything more enjoyable and does wonderful work explaining everything. It's worth choosing.

An absolutely unforgettable experience! Taking the Athens to Meteora DayTrip by Train tour was certainly one of the best moments of my whole trip to Greece. Meteora’s landscapes are stunning on their own, but what really turned this visit into something extraordinary was the Rula guide. From the outset, Rula showed exceptional dedication and passion. His in-depth knowledge of history, culture and monasteries made each stop come alive. She explained clearly, answered all questions patiently and was always attentive to making each member of the group comfortable and enjoying themselves to the fullest. In addition, it was noticeable that he really loves what he does: his energy, his sympathy and his attention to detail made us feel accompanied by someone very professional and at the same time close. Thanks to it, we understood not only the architecture and spirituality of the place, but also the human stories that make it so special. I recommend this tour 200%, and if you are lucky enough to do it with Rula, prepare for a memorable day. An experience I will always treasure!

We booked it online the night before kind of late a were bit skeptical, but when we show up next day on the bus, they were waiting for us. We had a lovely day, Meterora Is indeed an exceptional place and a MUST SEE while in Greece. Ours was a day trip by bus from Athens. Is a long trip but still enjoyable. The drive was safe, we booked the lunch with them and food was nice too. Thanks to out drivers and tourguide - Clement, we have now really good memories to treasure from such beautiful place.

Excellent visit to 3 monasteries in Meteora with the guide Rula, very friendly and knowledgeable of the subject. The beautiful landscapes, a bit hard walk to get to the first monastery but worth it because it is very cute and interesting. A long day but the bus is comfortable and worth it.

This meteora ride is well worth it. Fantastic place with amazing views. Despite the long journey from Athenas worth every minute. The Meteora Thrones Spanish class guide is very good, although we speak Portuguese, we could understand everything! Only point of attention is that even with the air conditioning in the vans was very hot, the air did not count.

I couldn't pay for the reservation in advance because we only decided to go the night before. We went to the bus in the morning and they were very flexible, finding us a seat even though the buses were full.
Amazing. Wonderful. Inspiring. We had a marvelous trip to the Monasteries with Maria and Dino. We learned so much from them. Would highly, highly recommend this trip to everyone. Long day but divided so it worked well.
