Itinerary
Leave Lisbon behind as you cross the Tagus River on the Vasco da Gama Bridge. Built for the 1998 Lisbon Universal Exposition, it is the longest bridge in Europe at nearly 11 miles (17 km) long
From Tuesday to Saturday, starting on the 1st of June, we stop at the Market of Setúbal, considered one of the most beautiful and lively markets in the world: from exotic local fishes to vegetable, fruits, bakeries and cheese.
Only on mondays: Visit the Palmela Castle and ascend the walls and tower for an amazing photo opportunity
You will then follow your guide to a wine tasting session at Casa Museu Jose Maria da Fonseca, one of the oldest wine-producers in Portugal. Enjoy a guided tour of the winery and sample two wines (included) from a wide selection of regional wines.
Continue to the northern shore of the Sado River and discover the beauty of Arrabida Natural Park. Climb to the tallest peak at 1,640 feet (500 meters) and gaze over the verdant park towards the Atlantic and the beaches below.
Stop for a fresh seafood lunch (own expense) in the charming fishing town of Sesimbra. Spend more free time strolling along lively streets or continue for a walk along golden beaches.
Visit a beautiful local family owned wine farm in the heart of Arrábida park, where it is time to taste some wine
Finally, visit the Cristo Rei Sanctuary, inaugurated in 1959 and inspired by the famous Cristo Rei monument in Brazil, and admire Lisbon from a distance before returning to the city.

Yes!experiences Portugal is not legitimate. I originally booked this experience through Viator. The tour company later canceled the Viator reservation and contacted me directly, offering a discount if I booked through them instead. After booking directly, I discovered that the charge had been processed as a cash advance rather than a standard purchase. Once I became aware of this, I canceled the booking. Despite the cancellation, I have not yet received a refund. The owner has done nothing to fix the situation and is blaming the bank she processes with. My experience has been very frustrating, particularly due to the lack of resolution regarding the refund. I would strongly encourage anyone considering booking with this company to do thorough research and proceed with caution.
We had a wonderful time with our guide, Alberto, during this experience. We stopped at 2 wineries and were able to learn about the history of winemaking in Portugal at one and enjoy a more casual experience at the other. We also stopped to take in the many beautiful views and small coastal towns along the way. It was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to spend a day exploring a bit beyond Lisbon while tasting regional wines!
Had a lovely experience meeting new friends and seeing new places. Our guide was knowledgeable and welcoming and the small group format made it easy to engage in the adventure. The wineries represented significantly different styles on the production spectrum in Portugal…so lots to learn.
This was such an easy to navigate excursion! The meetup point was easy to find and Alberto was out front waiting for everyone when I arrived. We hopped in the van and took off for our first stop. I would recommend having something to eat prior to meeting just because there isnt really an opportunity to get much until lunchtime. We did stop at a market and were able to get coffee and pastries though on the way. The wine tastings were great. The first one had a lot of history and the second one was very laid back and relaxing. Alberto shared his knowledge about Portugal and answered all our questions. He gave us plenty of time to hang out wherever we were or keep moving. Never felt bored or rushed. There was some walking but not a lot so you can get away without wearing tennis shoes. This was a great addition to my trip to see and do the things I wanted to see/do in one day. Overall a great time! Would definitely recommend.
Thank you so much for your wonderful and detailed review! We're delighted to hear that you had such a great experience and that Alberto helped make your day both enjoyable and stress-free. We'll be sure to pass along your kind words to him – he'll be thrilled to know that his knowledge, recommendations, and relaxed approach made such a positive impression. We're also glad you enjoyed both wine tastings and appreciated the balance between guided information and free time at each stop. Thank you as well for sharing helpful tips for future travelers regarding breakfast and footwear. It means a lot to us that the tour allowed you to experience so many of the things you wanted to see and do in a single day. Thank you for your recommendation, and we hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back on another adventure in Portugal in the future! Kind regards, Antonio Inside Lisbon
we had a funtime with our guide " Nunu " today. We espically enjoyed the 2nd Winery Al cube.
I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to see a different side of Portugal! The itinerary is well-paced, provides a mix of stunning natural scenery, rich history, and incredible local flavors. You get to drive through both Lisbon bridges. You get enough time to explore Sesimbra and enjoy a great lunch between the wine tasting. The wine tasting also combined two different experiences with more formal wine tour to start the day and relaxing friends gathering type of atmosphere at the end of the day. Our guide, Lius Santos, was knowledgeable, friendly, and kept our group engaged the entire day. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to escape the city and see a different side of Portugal!
The winery tour was amazing. Great overall itinerary. Fabio, our tour guide, was informative, friendly and engaging.
This was a great tour and our tour guide was very informative and interactive with us during the entire tour.
Interesting as a day, but not the right vineyard.
Antonio was a wonderful guide who engaged the group and adjusted the tour to our interests. We enjoyed both vineyards and the stop at the market to get som fresh fruit to start the day Antonio was an amazing guide and made our day perfect. Highly recomend!
