This may have been the best tour I've ever taken from Viator!!!! Abdul was simply incredible! He was so full of information and showed us so so much. The viewpoints in each valley were amazing! The lunch with the Berber family was a definite highlight.....and delicious!!! I would give this tour and Abdul 10+ stars!!
This tour delivered exactly what was advertised and more. We visited five valleys and our guide Abdul delivered a history lesson on Morocco and the Berbers dating back thousands of years. In addition we had dinner at a Berber family home. That meal was the best authentic Moroccan meal I have had in Morocco. It was slowly cooked for over 4 hours and spiced perfectly with chicken melting in your mouth. There was nothing disappointing about this tour. Several opportunities for pictures, questions, and a walk up the mountains. 5 Star tour and Abdul was a 5 Star guide.
Abdel was a fantastic tour guide and really made the experience so much more authentic. The traditional lunch at a local's home was delicious
This was the highlight of our trip to Morocco. The tour was carefully planned out with 5 incredible stops through the Atlas Mountains. Our guide Abdel was so great, sharing stories and history and just a joy to be around, highly recommend to anyone visiting Marrakech and looking for a unique unforgettable experience. Ask for Abdel!
Abdel was wonderful. He was kind, knowledgeable, humble, and professional in every sense. I only hope I can remember all of the fascinating stories, history, and insights he shared throughout the day. I travelled with my five-year-old son, who was as good as gold, although the amount of driving was perhaps a little much for him at times (which was more down to his age than the tour itself). The Five Valleys were absolutely stunning, but my favourite part of the experience was lunch with the local family. It was a truly humbling experience: beautiful food, beautiful people, and breathtaking views. Although it is on the tourist route, it never felt staged or commercialised, and certainly didn’t feel like a tourist trap, unlike some similar excursions. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to learn more about Berber culture, experience the Atlas Mountains, and spend time with an exceptional guide.
An informative and varied excursion with Abdel into the valleys of the Atlas Mountains, including lunch with a very friendly Berber family. Highly recommended.
Our private trip to the Atlas Mountains with the 5 valleys was simply perfect. Our guide Mohammed was the perfect companion. We felt very comfortable with him. He told us everything very well and excitingly. At any time we wanted, he stopped for us so we could take photos. The landscape was breathtaking. The stop at the Argan oil women was very pleasant and unobtrusive. The tea by the river was very nice. The traditional lunch with such a warm Berber family was incredibly delicious and the view was fantastic. Nothing felt touristy or overcrowded. For us, a perfect day with our guide Mohammed.
If you want advice, skip the organized group excursions and I will explain why right away... after four hours from departure, we are still in front of an argan oil cooperative after having seen a carpet cooperative; in short, all those nonsense that prolong the trip, we have not yet reached the destination, that is, the river... spectacular, beautiful, which I have already seen; if you are two or three, it is better to take a taxi for the whole day, you can make the trip you want without the need for these frustrating, annoying, and ultimately useless stops.
What an amazing experience!! Abdel is extremely knowledgeable and best host. I learnt so much about the history of Morocca and it's people from Abdel. Lunch was delicious and the family very welcoming!!
Abdul our guide was very informative about the Atlas Mountains and Morocco’s history. The pace of the trip was perfect with many stops to look at the amazing views, even if there was mist and cloud. Lunch at a Berber family home was delicious and hospitable. Do not expect luxury surroundings but expect tasty tagine and couscous. Definitely a trip worth booking.
