Itinerary
At 7:00 am, we will pick you up from your hotel and head straight to Alexandria, where we will spend the next two and a half hours traveling by highway to get to our starting point "Kom El Shoqafa" in Alexandria. Kom El Shoqafa contains a collection of tombs, statues, and archaeological artifacts associated with the Pharaonic funeral mortuary cults and Hellenistic and early Imperial Roman influences. Because of the time, many of the characteristics of Kom El Shoqafa's catacombs combine Roman, Greek, and Egyptian cultural points; some statues are Egyptian in style but wear Roman clothes and hairstyles, while others share a similar style. A circular staircase descends into the tombs tunneled into the bedrock during the Antonine emperors' reign. (2nd century AD)From the 2nd to the 4th centuries, the building was used as a burial chamber before being rediscovered in 1900.
It will be the secondary attraction. The Pompey Pillar's moniker is deceptive. Gaius Pompey, a Roman general, and consul, was a rival of Julius Caesar in a civil war and was assassinated by a Ptolemaic pharaoh in 48 BC as he escaped to Alexandria. This single column, perched on a rocky hilltop in the center of Alexandria, has nothing to do with him. Crusaders believed his grave was marked by a 100-foot (30-meter) red Aswan granite pillar, which is how this tale started. The pillar is a triumphal monument built for the Roman Emperor Diocletian in 300 AD. During the visit, the site will be admired from the outside only, making it an ideal stop without requiring entrance fees. The real importance of this archaeological site lies in what was before the pillar: the Serapeum, Alexandria's acropolis.
The third stop will be this. In Alexandria, Egypt, on the Mediterranean Sea the coast, stands the 15th-century defensive fortress known as the Citadel of Qaitbay or the Fort of Qaitbay. In 1477 AD (882 AH), Sultan Al-Ashraf Sayf al-Din Qa'it Bay founded it. The Citadel is located at the mouth of the Eastern Harbour on the eastern edge of Pharos Island's northern tip.
We will visit the world's largest library: "Bibliotheca Alexandrina", which currently has 8 million Books. Visit its open court to see the statues of Ptolemy the First and Alexander the Great, which were both discovered close underwater. You will go to "The President Sadat Museum" and the "Alexandria Museum of Impressions. Please note that the Alexandria Library is closed on Friday and legal holidays. You will need to buy a ticket to access the reading section. Finally, we will travel to the beginning location for around 2.5 hours on the highway.
The Roman Amphitheatre is one of Alexandria's most popular monuments. This is Egypt's second most important city, after the capital, Cairo. While the amphitheaters were spread through the different countries like Greece, Italy, and Turkey during the reign of the Romans with many examples of these structures still present in many regions around Europe and the Middle East, the Roman Amphitheatre of Alexandria is the only one of

Speedy transportation. Great food. Amazing historical sites. Alexandria is a beautiful coastal city!
Thank you for your kind review! We’re delighted you had a great experience with us. It was a pleasure having you, and we look forward to welcoming you again in the future.
The coastline for Alexandria is stunning. Outside of that, its probably my least favorite place in Egypt. There is more tombs to visit, but nothing overly captivating. The citadel was the nicest thing to see. We had lunch included in our tour and the restaurant we went to was pure chaos. It also didn't help that no one knew what was going on. The driver and the guides were great and tried to make us very comfortable. Mahmoud made a lasting impression on parents - so much so that they asked for him to take them around the following day. Nona was sweet and gentle with both my parents as well.

This tour delivers as advertised The driver was prompt at my downtown hotel which was not on the list and did a great job of negotiating Egyptian traffic for the day The guide “Ella” who has a background in archaeology and tourist guide did a wonderful job in presenting the details and background stories on the catacombs, Pompey’s pillar, ancient Roman theatre, the library of Alexandria, Qaitbay Cidadel and providing a fresh fish lunch on the coast Both were extremely friendly and informative I had a wonderful day and hope those reading this have the good fortune to share a day with this tour

Our driver and guide were both warm, friendly and responsive to our requests and their English was exceptional. It was a long day and we saw so much. Our guide was emerging as a guide and I would suggest that she improve her knowledge of the sites, but I really liked her and I know her knowledge will improve. I'm glad I went to Alexandria to experience it's wonders.

I had an excellent experience with my guide Eslam in Alexandria, Egypt. He was knowledgeable, well-organized, and explained the city’s history in a clear and engaging way. The tour covered the most important landmarks, including the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Qaitbay Citadel, and the beautiful Mediterranean Corniche, without feeling rushed. He also shared useful local tips that made the visit much more enjoyable. We stopped at a fantastic seafood restaurant known for its fresh fish and traditional Alexandrian flavors. The food was high quality, well-prepared, and truly reflected the local cuisine. The driver was extremely careful and diligent, always punctual and respectful, which made the entire trip feel safe and comfortable. Overall, this was a smooth, memorable experience and a great way to discover Alexandria. I highly recommend this guide and service to any tourist visiting the city.

We had a wonderful day trip to Alexandria thanks to our guide Alaa, Gaber. From the moment we arrived from Cairo, she was warm, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable, making the long day (11:00 am–5:30 pm) both enjoyable and enriching. The tour covered five key sites that beautifully intertwine Alexandria’s layered history, including the area surrounding the legendary Library of Alexandria, the Citadel, the Catacombs, the Roman Amphitheatre, and Pompey’s Pillar. Despite the seasonal crowds, Alaa explained interesting facts on each site clearly and thoughtfully, sharing all the important details without overwhelming us. As an archaeology graduate from Alexandria University, her passion and expertise truly stood out. She also gave us plenty of free time to explore, take photos, and enjoy each location at our own pace, while patiently answering every question from our family of four adults. The day ended perfectly with a seafood meal, which was the option we chose. Alaa was very considerate in asking about our preferences and made local food recommendations, allowing us to enjoy Alexandria’s seafood and local menu to the fullest. A well-organised, informative, and enjoyable tour—highly recommended!

We had a good time in Alexandria, the drive was smooth and our tour guide Mr. Eslam showed us all the attractions and explained the history very well, he is veey polite and knowledgeable and gave us a very good experience of the city. Our pickup was delayed due to a critical emergency from the previous driver but the tour company arranged for another driver and made sure we had a comfortable trip and as a compensation they arranged for a awesome lunch for us, we are very happy with the hospitality.

Eslam, my tour guide, shared fascinating insights about Alexandria’s history, and I learned so much thanks to his knowledge and kind personality. And Momen Abozaid, the tour driver, was equally also very kind, punctual, and made the journey comfortable.

Christina was a great guide. She took enough time and we were able to explore the main sights in all rue. The palace, the citadel and the library of Alexandria must not be missed. I can recommend this tour to anyone, Alexandria is so different and you can literally feel it. If you have enough time, you should also take a short dip down to the sea and enjoy the sound of the sea. I found the time in Alexandria really nice.

We had a wonderful time visiting the city of Alexandria with our guide Eslam. He made the trip perfect with his extensive knowledge of the city, fluent English and overall kindness. Towards the end of the tour, we were in a slight rush and he was still able to let us see and learn about all the amazing sights. Each stop was amazing and had their own special highlights: the catacombs, roman theater, library and citadel all along with the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. I'd highly recommend including lunch because of the delicious fresh seafood options. Highly recommended with Eslam!
