Khalid was a gracious driver, picked us up at our hotel, on time, and took care of everything. And when we arrived in Alexandria, Momo took it from their and accommodated is every step of the way. He gave us well rounded tours of each location, then gave us plenty of time to wander about the sights by ourselves to enjoy as a couple. Admittedly, we were somewhat skittish due to the political events, but there was nothing to fear snd we would recommend anyone to come to Egypt and take this tour
This day tour was excellent! We booked this on Viator during our Egypt visit in February, 2026. The vendor sent a driver coming to pick us up at our hotel in downtown Cairo, and brought me and my wife up to Alexandria, and met with the local tour guide Ahmed (Mu-mu). Mu-mu was an excellent guide, who was knowledgeable, passionate, and very considerate to our tour interests. He accompanied us visited all the key tourist spots in Alexandria: Catacombs of Kom Shoqafa, Roman Amphitheater, and Qaitbay Citadel, as well as stopping by at the Pompey's Pillar and the Alexandria Library. We had a great time, and learned a lot about the history of Alexandria during the visit via Mu-mu's introductions. We also like the fact that Mu-mu asked us what's our main interests, and saved time for me to take photos, and not taking us to some markets or shops to hear sales pitches that we experienced on other local tours, which freed us from the sales pitch pressure we otherwise would have to endure. The driver was also excellent, who brought us bottled water and snack on the way, and even put on a window curtain on the car windows to shield sun light on my wife's face during a hot afternoon driving back to Cairo from Alexandria. Overall, this is the best local tour we had via the Viator booking, and I highly recommended Mu-mu and this local tour vendor to anyone who are in Cairo and considering going on a day-trip to Alexandria! Thank you Mu-mu and the team for an excellent tour of the wonderful city of Alexandria!
Starting with our ride from Cairo with Khalid, this was a delightful trip. The rest stop was timely and brief so we were able to meet with our guide “Mo,” in a timely fashion. Mo helped us to plan our day, then guided us through the Catacombs, the Roman Theater, and the Citadel. We were treated to a tasty meal of sea bass and rice at our restaurant by the Mediterranean Sea. I didn’t know much about Alexandria before this visit and am so glad we chose to take this tour! Even though we travelled in late March 2026, we felt safe and secure at all times! I would recommend this excursion to everyone!
The Travelish Tours package to Alexandria was a great experience. Their package (Catacombs, Amphitheatre, Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Jewellery Museum, Citadel) has something for everyone in the family. We got a very good car and an amazing driver. Beyond his superb driving skills, Yasir also spoke fluent English, was very knowledgeable about the fruits and vegetables grown enroute to Alexandria. We just did not feel the nearly 3 hour journey to be tedious. The main person who makes or breaks the package experience is the guide. And Norhan was really the best guide that we have met to date. She was very knowledgeable, highly enthusiastic and went a mile beyond to enhance our experience. She organised vegetarian food for us to be ready just as we reached the place. And despite the short working hours in Ramadan took us to the Royal Jewellery museum which is at a considerable distance because we were keen on it. And clicked a lot of our photos too! All in all - a great day in Alexandria with two wonderful people. Ask for them when you book with Travelish to make it a perfect package! Highly recommended.
Our tour to Alexandria was nothing short of outstanding and truly a highlight of our trip to Egypt! Despite our flight from a previous tour being delayed, Momo was incredibly understanding and accommodating. He worked around our revised timeline seamlessly, ensuring we were still able to join and enjoy the experience without feeling rushed or missing out; his flexibility and professionalism set the tone for the entire day. Marwa, our guide, was absolutely fantastic attentive, extremely knowledgeable, and so much fun to be with. She brought Alexandria’s history and culture to life with her storytelling while making sure everyone felt engaged and comfortable throughout the tour. A special mention as well to our driver, Yasser, a great guy from pick-up to drop-off. He was punctual, courteous, and made the journey smooth and relaxing. Plus, lunch at The Fish Market was simply supreme; the fish was incredibly fresh and prepared to perfection, making it the ideal dining experience to complement such a wonderful day. All in all, this is one tour you simply should not miss on your trip to Egypt. Highly recommended!
Momo was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about his native city of Alexandria. We visited the catacombs as well as the Library of Alexandria and Roman colosseum. After the tour we had fresh seafood at a restaurant next to the mediterránian sea. We were picked up in our hotel in Cairo and the driver was very good with a stop half way for coffee. Expect a 2.5 hour drive from hotel in downtown Cairo.
Our first time in Egypt and we had visited the city called Alexandria . This city is the number 2 biggest in Egypt, a lot of history way back to B.C. Period. I love Alexandria and historical sites. So many places to see but can’t fit them in one day. So we 1st visited the Catacombs of Kom el Shqafa ; Alexandria -Al Marghani , Saw a lot of live chickens pigeons rabbits and ducks. in the local markets. Then we visited the ancient Roman Amphitheater. Such amazing view. And last we when to the Qaitbay Citadel . I really enjoyed the views. Lastly we ended our tour with seafood lunch by Shatbi Beach over see the Mediterranean Sea. It was a perfect way to end our tour! Thanks to Yasser picked us up from Cario, such a sweet guy! And thank you MoMo told the time to tell us the stories and history of Alexandria. I had a great time exploring Alexandria 🥰
Amazing experience with Momo as guide. He customized the trip to better suit our interests. He is very knowledgeable and gave us plenty of time at the sites. Our driver was also impressive. We would highly recommend this tour and tour guide
The driver was very good and on time. During the entire trip, he was very helpful and consistent in his services. His driving skills was good and stable in Egypt driving conditions. Tour guide was flexible and might adjust his schedule according to your needs.
We had an amazing time in Alexandria and especially Luxor thanks to our guide Momo. He helped us arrange a 4 day plan to visit Luxor from Cairo. This included our flight, hotel, West Bank and East bank tours and our transportation. On top of that, he arranged all this for us in a very short period of time. Momo genuinely wanted to help us explore Egypt and make the most out of our time here. We really appreciate the effort he put in for us and therefore me and my family are very thankful. Momo is a great guide and great person. We were very happy to meet you, thankyou for everything! We wish you the best!
