You will be collected from your hotel in Bristol and driven, by private vehicle, to the charming UNESCO World Heritage City of Bath. Your tour of Bath starts with a visit to your guides' favourite viewpoint to give you a great perspective of the city.
Your guide, who was born and grew up in Bath, will take you on a walking tour of the centre of Bath. You will be shown all of the city's famous landmarks and you will hear interesting stories about these and the city. You will also be shown the location of the city's hot springs - without these Bath would not be the city that it is today. Some of the places visited on the walking tour are listed below.
Built in the 1700s Pulteney Bridge is a famous landmark in Bath. You will discover what makes this bridge so famous.
You will hear about the fascinating history behind the Bath Abbey.
You will hear about the Roman's impact on Bath and the famous Roman Baths. We do not go inside the Roman Baths Museum.
You will be shown the location of the city's hot springs and Bath's modern spa.
You will visit the beautiful Circus which has had a number of interesting residents.
You will also visit the magnificent Royal Crescent.
After your tour of Bath you will be driven back to Bristol. Depending upon traffic and the location of your hotel you should arrive around 7pm. If you would like to have dinner in Bath before returning to Bristol this is possible - please let Bath Insider Tours know in advance.

Danny was a super terrific for our Bath tour as well as our tour to Stonehenge and Farmer’s Puppy! We really threw him for a loop to take us to Windsor and he did that too! His car was clean and comfortable, he had water for us and accommodated our lateness, testiness and our 6 year with grace, aplomb and on time! He has great stories and anecdotes replete with explaining sayings like “pulling the wool over one’s eyes”. He also engaged my husband in car talk like rare interlocutors could. And he took us all the way back to London Euston. Thanks Daniel!!

Daniel was the best. We booked with him several months before and had a few questions. Very prompt at communicating and working with our group. Even up to the day of we were running late with our Globus tour and he adjusted his schedule to meet ours. The tour was the best guided tour during our two week trip to England. So much info he shared from the past, personal experiences growing up. Don't look anywhere else, book with Daniel. I will be booking future clients with my travel agency with him.

Daniel was a fantastic guide. It was a very hot and sticky day and he was flexible enough to tailor our tour to suit the sometimes flagging energy of the group. He was knowledgeable and entertaining and great with the children in our group. We would absolutely recommend Daniel to anyone thinking of booking a private tour.

Daniel was very friendly and enjoyable to be around. The tour was very well planned taking in the city’s sites you know about and many you probably don’t. Daniel obviously has lots of knowledge as he was able to give lots of information new and old but also answer many questions that we asked. We live only an hour away from Bath but we learnt loads. Daniel was an excellent, informed and interesting private guide. My husband and I had a fantastic tour of Bath (even in bad weather) and learned so much about the city. Daniel is from Bath, is a world traveler and gave great insight and stories. He was also excellent with COVID regulations and we always felt 'safe'. He's the kind of local guide that has a knowledge of the area and can recommend day trips, restaurants and shopping places. I highly recommend booking with him!!!!
