Adventure Tour through the Dunes and Lagoons of Atins
Description
Departure is at 8:00 AM from the agreed-upon meeting point, with the return scheduled for between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM, before sunset. The tour takes place in a 4x4 vehicle driven by a certified guide, offering a full day of immersion in the Lençóis Maranhenses. The first stop is at a lagoon for a swim, with the duration determined by the guide based on the day's conditions. Next, we head to Canto do Atins Beach. During the rainy season, and depending on conditions, it may be possible to enjoy the small natural waterfalls in the Bonzinho or Ponta do Mangue areas. After a dip in the sea, we will stop for lunch in Canto do Atins or Atins, as recommended by the guide. Following the meal, we will visit the charming village of Atins, take a short 4x4 drive around the area, and conclude the itinerary with one last swim in a lagoon before returning.

I picked this tour because it takes in more than only the dunes. Atins and the Atlantic coast makes this a more complete tour in my eyes. Everything was good, pick up and drop off at my Pousada. I had a really good day!

Incredible experience! It is a long trip but worthied. Fully recommended when visiting Brazil. The only issue is the guide didn’t speak any English even though I sign up for English tour speaker. Communication was tough.

Amazing experience! Highly recommend this tour to anyone that wants to explore Lencois Maranhenses and the beautiful village of Atins. My favorite part of the tour was driving through the sand dunes to get to popular lagoons and even some lagoons that were less known! Visiting the village of Atins to eat and explore on our own was highlight as well. If you’re on the fence about booking this don’t be just do it you’ll have a great experience 👍🏻
