Me and my family went just because it was close to our hotel and we had such a great time! The museum is very engaging with not only an audio guide, but also interactive games that were both single player and multiplayer. There was one at the end which was a maximum six player trivia match. It was very fun. Throughout the museum I learned so much but I was not bored. The one thing is it got a bit long at the end. But yeah, I definitely recommend this experience if you are in the area!
It was a nice 1 - 1.5 hour indoor escape into the world of chocolate, set up in a rather quirky and engaging fashion. The audio guide handed at the entrance is a must-have. With that in hand, the 50+ stations of facts, information and games relating to the world of cacao is a fascinating lesson for young and old. Traversing across multiple small display rooms in a heritage building close to Templo Mayor, this "museum" ends with a short live display of chocolates being made (commentary in Spanish only) and a store at the exit. There is discounted admission for students, and payment can be made by cards too. Counter staff were helpful and courteous. Don't expect a classic museum experience with spotlighted artefacts in glass cases. It's an off-beat outing.
Just wonderful, a place where you learn and the ambient3s is great Wow!!!
This is a very interactive tour with a lot of options for both adults as well as kids. The kids may not have the attention span to listen to all the audio guide stations, but most rooms had the interactive stations where kids could explore while adults listened to the audio guide. It was a great overview of the history of chocolate with some yummy samples at the end and options to purchase much more in the gift shop. Easily accessible right behind the main cathedral in the Zocalo plaza.
Well curated and modern museum experience on the origin of chocolate which included samples at the end of the self-guided tour along with a great gift shop. Great for all ages including children.
