Adelaide City Highlights via Hahndorf Half-Day Tour

My husband and I were really looking forward to this excursion, especially when the representative worked around our special request during the time we were to visit Hahndorf. However, our ship was 2 hours late to arrive and we missed the pickup time. I called the number for Hills Luxury tours and was assured the driver was waiting for us, and had a sign with our name. We found him (Sam, the owner) and from then on we had the best time. Sam gave us so much information during the drive along the coastal road (much more pleasant than the freeway) and covered everything from the "city of Churches" to the different cultural areas, to the major sports facilities in Adelaide. Mt Lofty was super, including the koala snoozing on one of the upper branches of the tree at the Visitor Center's entrance. On to Hahndorf where we were able to meet our very long time friend - thanks to the coordination from the Company. From there we were able to join the coach for the ride back to the Port. Sam, thank you so much - you turned a really bad morning into a very special day, and indeed Viator is fortunate to have your Company as a local provider.

Sam was our guide and he clearly knows how to provide a great experience. The vehicle was spotless and comfortable. Chocolates and water was a nice touch too. Tour exceeded our expectations and I highly recommend it. Awesomeness period!

We had a wonderful experience on this tour. Our driver, Sam, was the perfect combination of entertaining and knowledge, sharing great insights about Adelaide and the surrounding regions throughout the day. His commentary added richness to the journey without ever feeling overwhelming or tiresome. A real highlight was our stop in Hahndorf, where we were given a generous two hours to wander, explore, and soak up the quaint charm of this beautiful town. It was the perfect amount of time to enjoy the shops, grab a bite, and take in the atmosphere at our own pace. What really stood out, though, was Sam’s flexibility and genuine care for his passengers. When another guest wanted to visit a spot that wasn’t originally on the itinerary, he went out of his way to make it happen which was a bonus. That extra effort made the day feel even more personalised and memorable. Overall, a relaxed, informative, and thoroughly enjoyable tour. Highly recommended. Oh, and the Mercedes we were driven around in was kinda cool, too! 😉

I booked the trip last minute and was the only person did not have a spot. Instead of cancelling I received a very personal tour of the highlights. I had a great experience visiting the Adelaide Hills, Hahndorf Village and driving around the City. My tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of each of the landmarks which made it a wonderful experience. The trip was very relaxed and I got to spend some good quality time. Some of the attractions were very beautiful and Anil clicked some great pictures for keepsakes. All in all a great trip in a luxury car with a great guide !
