Our guide was lovely and walked us throughout Athens to all her favorite eating spots! She is a culinary student so she has excellent taste! We loved it, wear comfy walking shoes!
It’s wonderful to hear you enjoyed the flavor of Athens with us, Yolanda! We’re so glad our guide’s culinary background added that extra layer of expertise to your experience—nothing beats exploring local gems with a student of the craft. Thank you for the "comfy shoes" tip; it’s the best advice for a day of discovery and delicious eats. Warmly, Athens Walking Tours Team
Easy Tripadvisor booking. Good feedback messaging. Hassle free check-in and in time. Our taxi dropped us at the arrival table. All the info you need without having to carry a map or guidebook. Still crowded even in October. We were lucky to see it without renovations scaffolding. Food tour has us trying Greek food we would likely avoid without knowing its ingredients.
Thank you for sharing your experience! We're delighted you found the process smooth and that you enjoyed exploring both the historic and culinary sides of Athens with us. It’s always a pleasure to introduce guests to authentic Greek flavors and dishes they might not try otherwise — that’s where the real magic happens! Warm regards, Athens Walking Tours Team
We had issues coming from the cruise port to the city center due to crazy amounts of traffic and taxisnot wanting to sit in it. So we arrived at the meeting point quite late. The ladies at the meeting point were kind enough to walk us over to the acropolis and get us through the gate so that we could find our guide and catch up with our tour. Dora was a fabulous guide for the Acropolis and shared lots of interesting information. We then left the acropolis at the end of the tour and met up with our next guide for the food tour portion. I wish I could recall his name…dark curly hair. He was lovely. He took us to several different stops in the city to try many different foods at authentic restaurants that the locals would be dining at. It was all delicious! We had two teenagers along with us that especially enjoyed the food tour. One of my sons is a history buff and enjoy the acropolis as well. It was a hot day in Athens, but we had a great time on our tour!
Thank you, Jennifer! It’s a pleasure to know everything worked out despite the hectic start — Athens traffic can be a challenge, especially on cruise days. Kudos to our team for helping you reconnect with the group, and we’re delighted you enjoyed both parts of the experience. Dora and your food guide (we’ll let him know he made an impression!) love sharing the real flavors and stories of the city. It means a lot to hear your whole family had a great time — even in the heat! Warm regards, Athens Walking Tours Team
Very much recommended Was very informative and interactive. Marina and Angel were excellent tour guides
Michael, What a great endorsement! We're delighted that your tour experience resonated so strongly, proving both enlightening and interactive. It's our goal to know Marina and Angel made such a positive impact as your guides. Warm regards, Athens Walking Tours Team
Acprolis Tour was Excellent. On Hindsight would probably have not done the food tasting section as that was pretty basic. Still a very good day overall
Thank you for your honest feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed the Acropolis tour—it’s truly a highlight. We appreciate your thoughts on the food tasting, and we’ll take it into account as we continue refining the experience. Still, we're happy to hear it was a good day overall! Warm regards, Athens Walking Tours Team
Very interesting site and not very crowded in February, so visited very calmly. That's interesting. Too bad I can't see a show in the evening in the theater...
Thank you, Margherita! Visiting at a relaxed pace makes the experience even more special. It makes us smile to know you enjoyed it and hope you left with wonderful memories of this incredible site! Seeing a show in the theatre would be awesome and would add a lot to your visit in Athens to understand the culture so we really hope you get it next time! Thank you for booking with us! Warm regards, Athens Walking Tours Team
The views were stunning, and the tour guides were fantastic. The food was absolutely incredible! Theo was amazing and made us feel like locals by the end of the food tour. I highly recommend it for a truly authentic Greek experience.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We're so happy that the views, the food, and the warm expertise of our guides made your experience truly memorable. Theo has a gift for making everyone feel at home, and it’s wonderful to hear he brought that local touch to your tour. Thank you for recommending us—we're delighted to have shared this authentic Greek experience with you!
We really enjoyed learning about the acropolis and the history of it Such a surreal experience to see it up close We had 2 great tour leaders one for acropolis and one for food tour for lunch Both ladies were amazing , were informative and accomodating Thank you for sharing the stories ..
Thank you so much, Chrissydney! It truly warms our hearts to hear that your experience felt surreal—there’s just something magical about standing in the shadow of the Acropolis, isn’t there? We’re delighted that both of your guides made your day even more special. They’ll be thrilled to know you enjoyed their passion and expertise. It sounds like you made the most of this adventure, diving into history and then savoring the delicious flavors of Athens. We hope to welcome you back for more unforgettable moments in the future!
We had two excellent tour guides - Niovi and Stella. Niovi did an excellent job discussing the acropolis. She had excellent information and was a great tour guide. Stella did an excellent job of the food tour - we thoroughly enjoyed her commentary and the food we tasted.
Thank you so much, Cynthia! It’s a delight to hear you had a fantastic time with both Niovi and Stella. It sounds like you got the best of both worlds—an insightful Acropolis tour followed by a delicious food-tasting adventure! We love that you enjoyed their commentary and expertise. We appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you on another adventure soon!
Acrópolis tour with Apoollo was excellent. But after the uphill climb and walking around the Acropolis we were too tired to the entire food tour with Angelo.
Douglas, we appreciate your feedback and value your experience. We're glad you enjoyed the Acropolis tour. We understand that the Acropolis tour can be physically demanding, and we appreciate your feedback about the food tour. For future visits, we recommend considering our shorter food tour option or adjusting the itinerary to allow for more rest after the Acropolis tour. Thank you for choosing Athens Walking Tours.
