Once I actually got everything downloaded and working this was a decent way to tour the main areas of beautiful Parma and learn a bit about the food. And it was nice to go at my own pace. But it took a frustratingly long time to get everything downloaded and set up. Download this and that… scour various emails to find actual instructions… create an account somewhere else… verify by email …. Verify again… etc.
It takes a while to figure out how to use the guide, including moving from the audio to the map. Also note that one of the stops, the one for the sweets was only gelato now instead of bakery too. Otherwise we revisit most of the suggestions, and had a delicious lunch at the small restaurant with the anolino. It was a fun way to visit and learn about Parma.
Excellent tour, entertaining, informative and easy to follow. Charming, funny guide and we would have missed so many places without this.
I was unable to download the app. Payment shouldn’t happen until you are ready to start not to set up for the tour. The set up was unsuccessful so I got nothing for my money.

This is a good tour to get a quick history of some of the sights in the center of Parma. Sadly, a lot of the places were closed after 7pm when I did it.

We loved using this self guided tour, it gave us the freedom to stop and start the audio when we needed to. We were given really good information about the local history of Parma and most importantly - the great advice of where to stop and shop for the amazing food that Parma has to offer. We tried this app because we were let down by a tour guide but to be honest - going forward, I will definitely be using this app again rather than a tour guide. It suited us perfectly and so much cheaper to use.
