We had a wonderful trip to the alpine region with Roundabout. We absolutely loved Lake Bohinj and Vintgar Gorge. Slovenia is breathtaking. We also had the chance to swim in Lake Bled which was pretty special. Our guide Jan was friendly and gave good recommendations.
It is very bad that the tour company cancelled the tour one day before. It is totally spoiled my plan. 😔
Dear Cynthia, I’m sorry for the misunderstanding. To clarify, we did not cancel the tour on our end. We had informed you that the tour was at risk of being cancelled due to low bookings, but we also gave you the option to rebook and secure your spot. We waited for your response before proceeding. As soon as another guest booked the last available place, we immediately let you know that the tour was now confirmed and running. This is also why we tend to wait until the final day — we often receive last-minute bookings. We truly apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and appreciate your understanding. Best regards, Jasmina
Guide was on time for pick up, occasionally instructions confusing, however the big letdown was incorrect information about exiting the Vintgar Gorge no warning about in excess of 200 upward steps out of the Gorge. My wife has a mobility problem and if we had have been advised correctly she would have not attempted the walk, a very poor duty of care to customers.
Dear Graham, Thank you for reaching out. Our guide was fully aware of your wife’s mobility concerns, which is why he specifically double-checked with both of you whether you were comfortable proceeding with the Vintgar Gorge walk. You confirmed that you were well-informed and prepared for the experience. Since you had already purchased the tickets and insisted on walking the gorge, the guide felt he had fulfilled his responsibility by confirming your decision. We are truly sorry that the tour did not meet your expectations and that the walk proved more challenging than anticipated. Best regards, Jasmina
What a fabulous day. From one amazing sight to the next even more amazing sight. We were just a small bus with 8 on the tour. All worked to time with no stress. Jan, the guide, was fun and efficient. Highly recommend.
This was the most beautiful tour I did in Slovenia. All the places were beautiful, but Vintgar Gorge was the most spectacular place. Our tour guide was amazing, she shared so many interesting facts with us, was kind to go at our pace and let us see everything with enough time.
I loved Gorge and lakes. Enjoyed it very much.
A wonderful day out in the countryside. The itinerary was full but not hectic. Small group with an excellent guide. A lovely way to see Northern Slovenia.
The whole day was fabulous! Our guide was fantastic! The order of travel was different from the website itinerary, but that turned out to be the best. We ended with our highlight- the Vintnar Gorge.
This tour was very well executed and balanced. We felt we had enough time at each of our stops. Janis (John) was an excellent tour guide- he gave us background on everywhere we visited and was so professional and friendly. Highly recommend!
I loved the group of people that I met on this tour - we all became a family for a few hours. The weather was terrible because of rain but that’s not in anyone’s control. While Ana tried the most to make good of the weather, she was pretty lost with directions that ended up costing us a lot of time on the road. We kept going in circles.
