An introduction to the history, process, and tasting of our national drink - whisky - all done in 90 minutes in a unique underground space, recently uncovered, in the heart of the Old Town of Edinburgh. You will have exclusive access to this historical site, taste whiskies from each of the major whisky regions and hear some of the stories about how whisky came to have such a crucial role in our nations history.

Wonderful experience! And I don’t even drink whisky. Our guide, Marcus, was knowledgeable, funny, and friendly. The venue is so unique. And the insight into the history of Scotland, shaped around whisky, was very interesting. Highly recommend.
This events offers a bespoke underground setting in an old bank and jail. A perfect spot to sample a variety of Scotch whiskies.

This was Amazing!! We highly recommend this experience! We had a family group of 5 adults and we all enjoyed getting to learn more about Whisky and the history in this region. A really enjoyable 90mins hosted by the lost close introducing us to a whisky from each whisky region of Scotland. The tasting was hosted by Hayley who was incredible, really funny and knowledgeable - providing a bit of background and context to each whisky and the history of distilling whisky. A well stocked shop too for anyone who found a new favourite tipple.
