We had a wonderful time on our Egypt adventure! As a country I always wanted to visit, it didn't disappoint as a milestone birthday destination. It was surreal, standing in the shadow of the pyramids that up until this trip had only been landmarks in school textbooks. To be there, touring inside a structure whose construction to this day still awes the world, was truly an experience for the ages. The camels that dot the landscape are massive but gentle creatures and it is a delight to be in their company. We visited two immersive museums (one is included in the package; we did the other on our own) with stunning artifacts and unbelievable mummified remains of numerous kings and queens. We toured Coptic Old Cairo, where the monotheistic faiths live in harmony. We walked around the area of our hotel to get the vibe of the bustling city of Cairo. You would be wise to follow the lead of locals in crossing streets filled with drivers who don't allow space for pedestrians. Be aware there will be residents who petition you to 'hire' them as city guides when they really aren't, but overall the people were easy going and went about their business as busy city residents do. There is a large stray animal population, but they don't bother anyone. Those with ear tags have been spayed/neutered and vaccinated under a government program, which we hope is being robustly administered as the number of them was heartbreaking to see. The Nile River cruise was another layer of engagement and the stops were awe-inspiring. Michaelangelo is revered for painting the Sistine Chapel ceiling while on his back, but Egyptians adorned their temples with beautiful paint after they carved stories into the stone, also on their backs. In Valley of the Kings in Luxor, you can enter the burial chamber and stand next to the body of King Tut! The Egypt Unlimited Egyptologists who accompanied our group are fantastic representatives of their country: proud, educated, communicative, passionate, engaged. They were invested in their charges' experiences and spared no detail in explaining what we were witnessing during each visit and the significance of it in time and place. It wouldn't have been the same without their input, their story telling, their understanding of what these temples and tombs, river and dams, deities and royalty, families and citizens mean to the culture and history of their beloved country. We came away with a new appreciation of a place I already knew I wanted to experience.
We had such a fantastic time on our recent trip to Egypt! Egypt Unlimited Tours did such a great job at everything from meeting us at the airport, providing transportation, all the way to the end helping us navigate the airport. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide. Hassan El Shazly was so knowledgeable about Egypt and its history. He helped us learn so much about Egypt. Not only its history, but also its culture, language, and people. He coordinated so many aspects of the trip, from the best times to see things to making sure we could avoid crowds, etc. If we ever return to Egypt, we’ll definitely ask for him - Habibi!
Wonderful experience, discovering enchanting places rich in history, culture, and mystery. The entire organization was impeccable from the trip, ship, hotels, and guide in Italian. One of the most beautiful vacations.😍
A completely individualized tour, they take care of every detail so that you always feel safe and accompanied. The guides are very knowledgeable about Egyptian history and make you feel very comfortable; you learn a lot with them, and I highly recommend it.
I saw their tour on Viator, then navigated to their website. I emailed to check the differences with the direct booking and Mohammad convinced me the direct trip was better, so I booked it. It was terrific. We were met at Cairo airport and driven to the Sheraton Bonvoy (VERY nice). The next morning our guide, Sharma, met us in the lobby. She took us to the Great Pyramid, Sphinx, and Saqqara Pyramids. Sharma was knowledgeable, personable, and a joy to be with. The next day we flew to Aswan on Cairo Air. I must say that Cairo Air is AWFUL. We were met by Mostafa, our private guide for the cruise (yes, just Mostafa and us two. For the entire cruise he was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The cruise ship was nice. Unfortunately it was quite chilly in January and the ship has no heat. Buffet meals were plentiful and delicious. The room was nice. We went to just about every attraction we could have imagined. Mostafa was able to skip the lines, and when we saw those groups of 20 or more people, we really appreciated it being just the 3 of us. After the cruise we flew back to Cairo and the last day Sharma met us again for our visit to the Cairo Museum. The entire trip exceeded our expectations and we enthusiastically recommend Mohammad and Eqypt Unlimited Tours!
An amazing tour. The sites of Egypt are mind blowing - it was even better than expected. But that is not purpose of the review - if you are looking at Egypt you probably already know it is spectacular! Summary: Do this trip, with this company. You will not regret it. This tour certainly gets you the highlights and the tour company are exceptional! We were family group of four (19/22 year old children) and thus private transfers and private guides for us throughout. Way better than big groups from bigger companies which looked a little soul destroying as they traipsed around in the heat. From meeting at airport on arrival (before immigration), to sorting all the transfers in good quality minivan, all the Service was superb - you are looked after for nearly all your time in Egypt. Best of all was the guides - they really make the whole thing come together - super knowledgeable and entertaining. Again it was all far better than I could have hoped for. We stayed in Cairo Sheraton (I don't think they always use same hotel but gives an indication of high quality). It was good standard international hotel with decent rooms and if you fancy easy evening then the top floor bar/restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Cocktails at sunset overlooking the Nile has a nice vibe. The cruise accommodation was good too. Boat had small swimming pool, a pool/games room and nice communal areas as well as comfortable rooms. Maybe not 5* food but perfectly fine and good range of options. There is not that much actual cruising but provides some classic Nile views. We did find that we had room that meant on 2 from 3 nights when alongside all you can see is the boat you are tied to which is a shame. Our Children had better views (so if your group needs two rooms ask for one on each side of boat to ensure at least one can see something). The cruise element means very early mornings. We had 4 or 4:30am alarms on three days. It is worth it, as needed to get stuff done, but with dinner sometimes late it is worth being prepared for. While it nearly broke our teenager you need to embrace it (and there is time to chill during the day). Do the extra Abu Simbel trip (one of the 0430 starts!). It is quite a lot extra (about $120 per person) but awesome. So overall excellent. With added bonus of being amazing value for money, especially compared to some big name tour operators.
We had a wonderful trip and experience in Egypt! Since the day we arrived in Egypt, everything was smooth and pleasant, with many thanks to Egypt Unlimited Tours! Mohamed did an excellent job to arrange and organize our trip! Tour guides ( Reem in Cairo & Noor in Aswan to Luxor), drivers and others. Everybody is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended if you wanted to Explore Egypt in the best way possible!
Amazing! Our local guides in Cairo and on the Nile Cruise were excellent. Both locations worked hard to accommodate one of the travelers who needed wheelchair assistance. Everything was included which makes the trip seem more expensive to begin with but when calculated out , a serious time and cost savings. The Sheraton Cairo was great. The Nile River boat was very good. And all transportation in AC vans were excellent. More than enough water was provided every day. I would highly recommend this small group, and I mean our group of four friends, to everyone. The airport meet and greet was amazing and appreciated as our flight from Luxor to Cairo was delayed several hours and yet there was Ali waiting for us. All in all a great tour!
This was the best way to experience Egypt. The food, the people, the places, and the culture. Everything was simply perfect. In just 8 days, you get the full picture of Egypt: the ancient, the historic, and the modern. We started in Cairo with visits to the pyramids and the GEM (the new Grand Egyptian Museum), which was incredible. Every flight and transfer was perfectly organized, and all the people helping us throughout the journey were kind, welcoming, and extremely supportive every step of the way. Then we traveled to Aswan, which was absolutely amazing. The private tours and the temples were unforgettable. The Nile cruise was a fantastic experience, with beautiful sunsets, excellent service, and an incredible suite that made the trip even more special. Luxor was my personal favorite because of its breathtaking temples, their massive scale, and the beautiful colors and details. Finally, we returned to Cairo for one last day to experience the religious side of the city and gain a deeper understanding of Egyptian culture. I recommend this tour 120%. Last but not least, our guides and drivers were outstanding. In Cairo, we met Shemma, and in Aswan and Luxor, we were accompanied by Sayed. They truly went above and beyond, giving us more than we ever expected. I hope to come back soon and continue discovering this mysterious and fascinating land.
