We recently traveled with Jossec Safaris for our Masai Mara and Amboseli trip. While the landscapes were beautiful, there were several aspects of the experience that did not align with what was communicated to us. After returning, I spoke with friends who had also visited the Masai Mara, and I realized there was a significant difference in their safari experience compared to ours. They departed for game drives very early in the morning (around 4:30–5:00 AM), which allowed them to witness incredible sightings by 6 AM, including lions and even hunting moments. In our case, we went out around 10-11 AM, when most animals were resting. As a result, we only saw them in inactive, resting states, which was quite disappointing and did not provide the authentic safari experience we had hoped for. Another major issue was that there was no working charging system in our 4×4 vehicle. We informed the team multiple times and were assured it would be fixed, but no action was taken. Considering the long travel days and the amount paid for the trip, this was very inconvenient. Our phone and camera batteries ran out for 4–5 hours, and we were unable to capture photos or videos during significant parts of the safari — which is disappointing during what is meant to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We also noticed that other jeeps had proper charging sockets available. Additionally, Amboseli National Park was mentioned in our Day 5 morning itinerary, but we were not taken there despite requesting it several times. We had even paid extra for the hot air balloon experience mainly to see Mount Kilimanjaro, so missing this was particularly disappointing. Overall, the experience did not match what was communicated in the itinerary. I am sharing this feedback in the hope that the company provides better clarity, better vehicle maintenance, and more accurate scheduling for future guests. We would appreciate clarification regarding these concerns.

Kindly note that all national parks in Kenya, including Masai Mara National Reserve and Amboseli National Park, officially open at 6:00 AM, and entry is only permitted from that time. Wildlife sightings depend entirely on animal movement and natural conditions, which can vary from day to day. Regarding the charging system, we sincerely regret the inconvenience experienced. Safari vehicles operate on rough terrain, and electrical sockets can sometimes become faulty. This is why we advise guests to fully charge their devices overnight at their hotels, where power supply is stable. We do understand how frustrating it can be when you’re unable to capture special moments, and we appreciate your feedback as we continue working to improve vehicle maintenance standards. Amboseli was visited as planned; however, visibility of Mount Kilimanjaro depends on the weather. Unfortunately, cloud cover prevented clear views on that day, which is something beyond our control. We genuinely regret that certain aspects of the trip did not meet your expectations. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we remain committed to improving communication, maintaining our vehicles to the highest possible standards, and ensuring clarity in scheduling for future guests. Great experience!! No complains at all. Book this package without any worries. The manager - Claire was very supportive and gave us quick assistance on WhatsApp for 5-6 days continuously before we made the final booking after answering all our small queries and understanding our wants. The safari was great and the guide was legendary who made our fun 2x. All the resorts and the food provided was awesome and first class (we were vegetarians so they gave special attention to provide us veg food everywhere we went in the 5 days). Definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to do the same safari.
