I tend to avoid these type of tours because I do not enjoy riding for 2-3 hour stretches in a van without a bathroom. However, this tour was well planned and Neal, the tour guy/van driver was the best guide I’ve ever encountered. He struck the perfect note between being informative and helpful. Also very funny in a low key way. The sights were also spectacular.
We hadn't visited the UK before and this tour while only being 5 days long was a good mix of seeing the beautiful countryside plus some interesting historic sites
A great way to see a lot in a short time. Love small group tours. Easier to get to know the other travelers. More personal.
We really enjoyed Jack, our guide/driver. He would tell us about the villages we stopped in and what we could see. He gave us recommendations for traditional food to eat at the different stops along with some exotic choices. His knowledge of the entire country and love for his job was evident. It was a great way to see a lot of different locations we wouldn’t have found on our own. We had a fantastic time. We highly recommend this trip.
We did this tour with another couple in May of 2025. The driver Carl was good , very organized, always on time and had a good stories and history of the places we visited. but not a wealth of information. We had a full van ,16 people and a driver. We had several sick people who where coughing the entire trip. Many overweight people making the Van feel very cramped. The air conditioning was very poor making the cabin air very stale. We spent alot of time driving and felt very rushed at the sites we visited. We picked our own places to stay and Carl did a great job picking us all up and dropping us at the places people stayed. Too many people in a van with poor ventilation with lots of travel time.
Hi, Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. I'm pleased to hear that Carl was organised, punctual, and informative. It's great to see his efforts didn't go unnoticed. But I'm sorry to hear that the experience on the bus wasn’t as comfortable as it should have been. While many of our guests appreciate the smaller group size for access to more remote locations, we understand that with a full vehicle, it can feel cramped, especially if the air conditioning isn’t performing at its best. Our vehicles are regularly maintained to ensure comfort, but we appreciate that on warmer days, this can still be a challenge. We’re always working to improve comfort levels and are continually investing in our fleet. I also apologise that the tour felt rushed. We aim to create a balanced itinerary with time to explore off the bus, and it’s disappointing to hear this didn’t meet expectations on your trip. Your feedback will be shared with the team as we look to improve the experience for future guests. Thanks, Jo
Our trip was amazing, do this tour! You get to see everything and the guide we had was so much fun - Carl to be exact! He showed us all the English country side and towns that are so quaint and lively and fun. This is an experience to be had. Thank you Carl for giving us the English tour ! We also saw Wales and that was so special.
My sister and I took the Heart of England and the Devon Cornwall tours, back to back. We really enjoyed our drivers (Graham and Andrew) and I felt like we saw all the best sites. We had a family, couples, groups and singles. It worked great for everyone! There were several repeat customers on our tours. The buses are new and clean. Everything worked like clockwork. We would highly recommend Rabbie’s and will use them again!!
The driver, John, his humor, his ability to read people and bring the group together as one. The places we visited were everything with historical significance. My favorite place Chatsworth House.
The tour exceeded our expectations. Our driver, Francis, was professional, kind, helpful, intelligent, and gracious. He shared stories about the history and culture of all the destinations along the 5 day trip. The acommodations were good and great values with breakfast included. The mini-bus was comfortable, and the driver stops every 2-hrs or so for a bathroom break or lunch. Some highlights included the Iron Bridge, the Slate museum in Wales, the Telford Aqueduct ( a world heritage site), the Peak districts, the Yorkshiire Dales, including many small villages, Chatsworth estate, Lincoln , Cambridge, and more. The visuals along the route were charming with sheep farms, stone walls, hills and valleys.
Our tour guide, Francis, gave pertinent, compelling facts all throughout the 5 day tour. He was also an excellent, safe driver. Somehow, with ease, he kept us all entertained, engaged and on schedule. This was the trip of a lifetime!
