The Tiananmen Tower (Gate of Heavenly Peace) is one of Beijing’s most iconic landmarks and the historic entrance to the Imperial City. You will be guided to walk along the central line and visit all the key buildings of the Forbidden City(about 1.5 hours). Your guide will offer interesting history background and guide you to all the best photo taking spots. Forbidden City used to be the residence for the Emperors (24 emperors in total) in the Ming (1368-1644) & Qing (1644-1911) dynasties and occupies 72 hectares (180 acres). Later on, you will be transferred back to your hotel or location. Lovely tour ends! Kind notice: You can require a stop for food if you would be hungry during the tour-pay extra.

The Meridian Gate (Wu Men) is the grand southern entrance to the Forbidden City in Beijing and the largest of its gates. Built in 1420 during the Ming Dynasty, it served as the main ceremonial gateway to the imperial palace complex and symbolized the supreme authority of the emperor.

Admission included10 min

The Hall of Supreme Harmony (Taihe Dian) is the largest and most important ceremonial hall in Beijing’s Forbidden City. Built in 1420 during the Ming Dynasty and later rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty, it stands at the center of the palace’s main courtyard on a grand three-tier white marble terrace.

The Hall of Central Harmony (Zhonghe Dian) is a smaller ceremonial pavilion located between the Hall of Supreme Harmony and the Hall of Preserving Harmony along the central axis of the Forbidden City in Beijing. Admission included10 min

The Hall of Preserving Harmony (Baohe Dian) is the third of the three main ceremonial halls along the central axis of Beijing’s Forbidden City, located north of the Hall of Central Harmony. Situated between the two imperial palaces, the Hall of Union is a smaller square hall representing harmony between heaven and earth. Located at the northern end of the Forbidden City, the Imperial Garden is a beautifully designed classical garden once reserved for the imperial family’s leisure and rituals. Excellent idea for a layover!

Excellent plan during a layover at Beijing airport. The service is complete, the luggage is well guarded, the tour is exceptional and worth the detour (even with fickle weather :) The pickup was planned and very well executed. The guide is as friendly as he is competent, a true enthusiast with whom you can discuss any topic.

Disappointment

Can‘t recommend this tour! We were really looking forward to see the forbidden city but unfortunately our flight was delayed. After 2:30 hours delay and the crew telling us it will be at least another hour we contacted the tour straight away. We asked kindly for refund because we can’t make the tour. We had a originally layover of 9hours but with the 3hours delay it won’t be enough time. The agency just told us no you can’t cancel it anymore. I was really hoping for a better customer service because we told them straight away 11 hours in advance. Really disappointing!

Operator response

I am very sorry for the inconvenience caused! Your guide received a call from someone and told tour guide that you would not go on the tour, but when tour guide asked to talk with you on the phone, she refused and hang off. So tour guide actually did not know what happened at that time, and after 1 more hour waited at airport, then tour guide left and your tour was cancelled due to no show. But I understand your situation, and looking foward to your next trip with us and would like to offer you a discounted tour to Beijing city. Thank you for your support with us.

Great Experience

This was our second tour with the company and it was fantastic. Sherry picked us up promptly at the airport, taught us quite a bit on the ride, and gave us a wonderful tour through Forbidden City. She explained so many interesting facts and took us through many places we may have missed on our own. It was nice having a driver as well because he picked us up on the other side so we didn’t have to walk all the way back. Highly recommend both this and a Great Wall tour if your time allows!

Forbidden city tour

This tour was very well organized. All involved were extremely helpful and considerate, and Sherry the tour guide went over and above from what was expected from her. She taught us a great deal of her city and her culture, and conducted a superb tour. As we were transfer people we did not have alot of time, but organized it on line from our hotel and were picked up at our hotel and met Sherry on route. Excellent.

Operator response

Thanks for your review and warmly welcome again:)

Forbidden city Tour

Sherry was our tour guide and she sure was knowledgeable!! Her and the driver were on time from picking us up at the airport and were super nice. We also asked for jackets prior to tour via email, which they provided. Not only did my wife and I feel very safe with driver and tour guide, but had a lot of fun! The car was very clean, looks brand new! Highly recommend. Also, pick up and drop off from airport was included in price, which was very convenient.

Operator response
