Step into the magnificent Forbidden City (Palace Museum), the world’s ultimate imperial palace. Through its 500 years as the power center from 1420 to 1911 AD, 24 emperors across the Ming and Qing Dynasties successively ruled here, witnessing the rise, peak, and fatal fall of the empire. Navigating its legendary 9,999 rooms can be overwhelming, but our expert-led, fast-track route ensures you smoothly experience the absolute highlights without missing a beat. Note: For Monday departures when the Forbidden City is closed, we’ll pivot to explore the Summer Palace, the emperor’s lakeside retreat.
This was not an execution site as rumored, but the stage for imperial ceremonies, much like the White House lawn. Here, the emperor issued decrees and welcomed home victorious armies.
Explore the Outer Court’s three grand halls, where the emperor hosted state ceremonies.
Discover the Inner Court’s three main palaces - the emperor’s private quarters and executive office.
Wander through the leisure grounds for the emperor and the imperial harem.
Enjoy a scenic 1.5-hour drive to Mutianyu, a beautifully preserved, crowd-free section perfect for your Great Wall adventure. Refuel with a premium buffet lunch, featuring authentic local food and Western favorites, alongside seasonal fruit and soft drinks. To maximize your time and comfort, we’ve included your choice of mountain transport: enjoy a leisurely round-trip cable car ride, or ascend via chairlift and take a thrilling toboggan ride down. Take in the breathtaking views from high above, and enjoy a 2-hour hike along the defensive wall built along the undulating ridges, discovering historical beacon towers and the echoes of the past.
Your guide and driver will escort you back to your hotel. Thank you for traveling with us!

Rocky was really good and knew all the secrets to get us into Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend him! You will not be disappointed!
Rocky was amazing! It was such a great experience and he made it so fun and easy. Super knowledgeable. Really recommend for everyone - he even went above and beyond to help secure us a dinner booking!
Jenny was our guide for the Forbidden City tour and she did a wonderful job. She explained all the details very clearly in English and she herself and the company were very accommodative of our group. Although the weather restricted some of the activities on the tour they provided alternatives for us to make up for this. I would definitely recommend Jenny and this company for tours.

Awesome experience. Michael Shi was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and gave great insights to each place. There were some issues with the weather but he dealt with them seamlessly. Would highly recommend!!

Unfortunately weather came I the way. Because of a typhoon, all outdoor attractions were closed. No tianenmen square, no Great Wall. The short window only allowed forbidden city to be squeezed in. Our guide Helen did the best she could under the circumstances. We couldn’t have asked for me. The operator agreed to refund 60% of the program cost.
Thank you for your understanding and honest review. We're so sorry the typhoon disrupted your plans — it's beyond anyone's control. We're glad Helen was able to get you into the Forbidden City, and we appreciate your recognition of her efforts. We also hope the 60% refund helped ease some of the disappointment. We'd love to welcome you back for a full, weather-friendly experience next time!
Some of the items on our original itinerary such as a visit to the the Summer Palace were canceled due to the weather We were still able to visit Lama Temple and the Temple of Heaven. We also saw the Bird’s Nest and the Olympic area. This was not originally scheduled, but are glad we went as it was on our list of things to do in Beijing. Murphy was our guide and he as great.

It is unfortunate that the Great Wall and Tiananmen was closed due to weather warning. But Friendly tour leader, Jenny, guided us through the program in Forbidden City nicely and try to recover the situation.

But we're glad Jenny's professional guidance through the Forbidden City helped salvage the day. Your understanding means a lot to us, and we'd love to welcome you back for the full experience when the weather cooperates!

The historic city of Beijing is full of iconic sites that demand our attention. This all-inclusive tour hits the highlights. Murphy, our guide, was chatty and helpful. We learned a lot about Chinese history, culture, and philosophy. The significance of these sites came into focus through his commentary. My wife and I chose the small group tour for the opportunity to meet other travelers from around the world. This was as much a highlight as the Beijing attractions. Learning about a foreign culture takes on new depths when seen through the eyes of other foreigners, a shared experience. If you're looking for a good overview of Beijing, this tour is a great choice.
Thanks for your lovely feedback! Murphy will be absolutely delighted to hear that his commentary helped bring the culture and history to life for you. He truly loves sharing not just facts, but the deeper meaning behind the sites. We'll pass along your gratitude to him personally. And we're so glad the small group setting added to your experience too. Hope to see you again!
Murphy was very knowledgeable and friendly.
