Game drives are a great way to experience the park and they take place all year round. Wherever you visit the magnificent Mara you will see several wildlife. For bird lovers, the Mara birds come in every color and size with more than 400 bird species, including birds of prey. The Maasai Mara is also famous for the wildebeest migration from the month of July through to October. Millions of animals migrate to the Mara from Serengeti in search for fresh green pastures and water.

Booking with Safari Update Travels was great. Great communication with Silas from day one. Silas adapted the trip to meet all our demands and we ended up having the most phenomenal trip with them. We had Nelson as our driver /guide and we adored him, he was helpful, friendly and explained everything to us about the animals and Maasai culture. Would recommend 100%.
We read a lot of reviews on the Internet about this company before booking with them. I must say the staff are the friendliest and most helpful people. We had such a fantastic time— the flights were great, the lodge (resort) was huge and beautiful with a rich buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and our local tourguide Peter is absolutely killing it! Ask him anything about any wild animal that you come cross, for sure he’s already have the answer for you. We had such a fantastic time, and nothing to complain

Booking with Safari Update was smooth. The agent was straightforward and helpful. Journey/ Game Drive: We started our journey late, waiting for another group to arrive, but our driver/guide ensured a safe journey from Nairobi to the Mara and back. He made sure we saw as many animals as possible during the game drives, including three of the Big Five. It would have been better if he shared more information on the animals. Hotel: While the food selection wasn’t impressive, the room was fantastic.

We went on a 3-day safari in the Masai Mara National Reserve with Safari Update Travel. We booked the tour from Germany. The communication in advance was super straightforward and all questions were answered within a few minutes. Also the payment was problem-free. We can only say one thing about the tour itself: WOW! Everything went perfectly from start to finish. Our guide was very experienced and professional. Our tour group was also just perfect. We had so much fun in the 3 days that we were sad at the end that this tour was now over. We were very lucky in the park itself. From elephants to lions and cheetahs to rhinos and hyenas, we really saw everything. Our guide Fred always tried very hard to take us to the best places and shared a lot of background information with us. Our highlight was watching 5 cheetahs eating and spotting the rare rhino. The Jambo Mara Lodge, where we stayed overnight, was also excellent. We can really recommend this tour to everyone. It couldn't have been better. Thank you very much!

Had the best experience. There were 7 of us, the Land Cruiser fits 8 comfortably excluding the guide. Stephen (guide) did a wonderful job, 5 ⭐️ service, treatment and experience. We had the best time and he was a great host and guide. He took care of us from our water intake, all registrations and went the extra mile in all efforts. We loved it very much. Asante sana! 🤍
