The best experience ever! Definitely worth of money and I fully recommend the guide Ali!
A great experience! Moha our tour guide was so kind and our driver, Adil was great as well! I definitely recommend, especially as a student studying abroad.
The two days driving and seeing the sights was nice. Our driver was wonderful. Everything to do with the actual Sahara though was terrible. To name a few highlights - there weren’t enough camels for everybody, the camp ran out of drinking water, and there were mites on the tablecloth at dinner in the camp, where we suspect my partner and I both got food poisoning. From talking to other travelers who did this experience through other companies and stayed at other camps, I think this is a pretty universal experience. One person told us they found broken glass in their food at another camp, so at least ours didn’t have that.
The Sahara was amazing. Beware, however, of how vague the itinerary is. Also, once the booking is confirmed, you will get almost no communications or information. The trip was very poorly organized and what little information we were given, was incorrect. The camel ride is very short and then the rest is by vehicle. They don't tell you how to ride the camels, they just throw you on one. Then they try to upsell you to a car ride instead of camels on the way out. Basically, be ready for a lot of sitting and standing around with no communication from anybody. Also, they take you to tours along the way that are not included in the price and that they only tell you cost extra after you've already gone through them, so take lots of cash and plan accordingly.
This tour was very well organised and we felt safe the entire time. Our tour guide, Abdu, shared information about areas as we drove through and stopped on numerous occasions for photo opportunities. He was very personable and made the trip very enjoyable for everyone. The camel ride was definitely a highlight, but we were all surprised by how much our legs hurt afterwards!
We just come back from this trip and I have to say it was amazing. From the beginning to the end it was a great experience, our guide Abdu was extraordinary, many thanks to him for make it more special. Highly recommended.
The tour takes 2 days to get to the dessert and stops along the way in many places which are very touristic. The dessert experience was very good, and the camel ride very fun! Our guide Abdu was the best guide and driver we could ever asked for. He was always very knowledgeable and very helpful! If you get to do the tour you should ask for him! We were a total of 5 people in the tour and the minibus was comfortable and clean. Abdu provided water and plenty of time to rest for us all during the trip and became like 1 of us! Can’t thank him enough.
Great tour! The magnificent views and delicious food. Seeing how people live in a traditional home/community was impressive. The natural ways to prevent sand from crossing roads and how they are successfully using traditional methods to irrigate. It was wonderful to go camel trekking and relax in nature. My favorite thing was seeing the stars at night. The sky has given us a wonderful show.
A superb experience, the very long return 10h journey, but frankly it is worth them.... especially brought warm clothes because in the morning and evening it is very cold,.... to do once in a lifetime... just a tip.. be fit because it is very physical ..
My girlfriend and I joined this tour at the tail end of our time in Marrakech. Overall, it was an enjoyable way to see other parts of Morocco and spend a night in the desert. Do be aware that it is quite a bit of travel, particularly on the final day. I think the trip would have been better had we had a better tour guide.
