Definitely go on this tour! It was so much better than I expected it to be. Our guide Nathan was super knowledgeable about all things Isle of Skye, and he played excellent Scottish folk and rock music throughout the tour. I feel like we really got to experience Skye, which has to be one of the most beautiful spots on Earth.
Our 3 day tour with Rabbie's of Isle of Skye departing from Edinburgh was amazing! Our guide Craig Young was "brilliant" ', knowlegable, personable, engaged, and excited to be on vacation with us 9. He made all of us welcomed and more than comfortable for our adventure with his sense of humor, pride for Skye and Scotland, and with local music and great story telling. We got to see Eileen Donan Castle, Dunvegan Castle, Kilt Rock, several waterfalls, Quiraing Mountain Pass, Fort Williams, Fort Augustus, Banks along Loch Ness, Caledonian Canal, Ben Nevis Mt., Old Man of Storr and Heilan Coos. Along the way making lunch stops in quaint towns and plenty of time for photo taking. Craig always open to questions and suggesting where to eat in our anchor city of Portree. Skye's Majestic views were incredible and obviously the star off the show, but Craig elevated our 3 days to the maximum with his passion for local history, his wit, his professionalism and not to be forgotten always careful safe driving. He was indeed our "Outlander" guide with Kilt and all! It was our first time in the UK, Skye and with Rabbie's and it could not have been more spectacular! THANK YOU SCOTLAND, SKYE, RABBIE's and thank you Craig…Highest praise and highest recommendation 💯❤️
We had an excellent time on our 3 day tour with Kieran. He was very knowledgeable and kept us laughing. We learned so much and got to visit some magical spots. We would highly recommend this tour!
We did the 3 day Isle of Skye Tour and it was amazing! Our tour guide was Rhys and he was a pleasure. He made the time on the road very fun and entertaining. Provided us with great facts and conversations. We got to see the best of Skye thanks to Rhys and would gladly go again. The van was very comfortable and there were plenty of rest spots to get out and stretch your legs on the long car ride days. I know everyone’s group will be a different experience but we had a great time with everyone in our tour group. Made some good friends and even went out to dinner with some of them when we were back in Edinburgh. I would highly recommend Rabbies. Would definitely book with them again. I only wish we had done a trip for a few more days to see even more of the Highlands.
My friend and I had a wonderful trip to Syke and the highlands. Niall our tour guide was brilliant. He drove really well and was flexible and included us all in the plans if changes were made due to bad weather. He was very considerate and helpful. The tour was a way of us seeing the beautiful scenery and historical site on Skye and the Highlands. I would highly recommend this tour.
Loved our guide, Lizzie! Loved the tour! Loved the amazing vistas and history! Didn’t love the B’n’B, but apparently our other fellow travelers on the tour shared that their rooms were similar to ours. The breakfast was hearty, but the rooms without screens and no air conditioning made for some uncomfortable nights and lots of midge bites.
This tour is ruggedly scenic and Portree was beautiful. We enjoyed our accommodations and local sights. However, the distance is too far for a three day trip with very short breaks. Additionally, there wasn’t anything included in the package so each stop presented cues and additional costs. So while the driver was knowledgeable, overall it was just a mediocre trip. Finally, we inadvertently booked this trip through Viator rather than the tour company directly. While on the trip Viator sent out advertising the trip for a cheaper rate than we had paid months in advance. When I brought this issue to Viator’s attention, they were politely dismissive. Book directly with the tour company.
We had the BEST time! Our driver Shay really brought the past to life with her stories. She knew all of the best places for us to see and photograph the beautiful landscape and historical sites. Not sure if it was fairy magic or just that she was so good at her job but we arrived ahead of crowds and the rain would magically stop for photo ops!! We loved our time in Scotland and would take a tour with Rabbies again!!
The Isle of Skye is not to be missed, and it was so convenient not having to drive ourselves! We had a great experience with Rabbie’s and really enjoyed the group we were with. The views were stunning, the B&Bs were comfortable, and the Rabbie’s team was very communicative throughout. Our guide Graeme especially went out of his way to make sure everyone was having a good time. He was flexible with what we saw and did, shared so much interesting knowledge along the way, and brought a wonderful energy to the whole experience. Would recommend it to anyone!
Isle of Skye is definitely worth the trip. It is stunning! Our accommodations were perfect and the hosts at our B&B were lovely.
