3 Day Garden Route Tour

Since their official policy states that STOLEN: $10,000+ USD. Avoid Gothatway Tours at All Costs!!!! Do not let the "sweet" initial sales pitch fool you. Gothatway Tours in Cape Town is a company that operates with zero integrity. We booked a large group tour (20 people) and paid over $10,000 USD upfront. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to cancel our trip a full four months before the departure date. The moment we moved from "paying customers" to "people needing a cancellation," the tone shifted from professional and friendly to absolute ice. They have become completely unresponsive and are flatly refusing to refund a single cent of our $10k+, despite their own website stating that cancellations made more than 30 days out are eligible for a refund. Why you should stay away: * Predatory Practices: They are happy to take your money but will ghost you the moment you need support. * Breach of Contract: They are ignoring their own 30-day cancellation policy to pocket a massive sum of money they didn't earn. * Terrible Communication: Once they realized they might have to return the funds, the "service" vanished. A company that treats a group of 20 this poorly is not one you can trust with your vacation or your hard-earned money. There are dozens of reputable operators in Cape Town—do not risk your money with Gothatway. They are currently holding $10,000 of our money hostage for a trip that isn't even happening for another four months. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Since their own website (as of August 2024) explicitly states: Cancellations More Than 30 Days Before Departure: No cancellation fees apply.

Everything was perfectly organized. Tourguide Emma was amazing,so it was super relaxed and lovely.

We had an absolutely magical experience!From start to finish,every moment was filled with adventure and breathtakiny natural beauty. Ema was fantastic!Her knowledge about the local flora and fauna,as welk as the history of the region,enriched every stop on our journey. She quided us through the most picturesque routes,providing us with both interesting insights and moments of relaxation. We had the opportunity to visit iconic attractions,the views were unforgetable and the accomodations wonderful. The food was another highlight,with stops at local restaurants,serving delicious traditional dishes. In conclusion,if you have the chance to explore Garden Route,don’t hesitate to do it!It’s an experience you won’t forget!

What a fantastic three day experience we had. So many different activities, ostriches, monkeys, elephants, beautiful beaches, lagoons and more. Our accommodation was lovely and all meals were great. Our guide Emma was perfect: organised, well informed and made our trip very memorable. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend this experience !!

We had such an amazing on our three-day Garden Route Tour, thanks largely to Emma! Because we went during the off-season, we were fortunate that it was just my husband and me on the tour with Emma. The vehicle was clean and comfortable, and Emma was a very safe, cautious driver. She was very personable, polite, well-spoken, and accommodating. We loved all the tours/attractions as well as the local stops we made. Emma was able to answer all our questions (even random ones!) and knows the areas well. Lodging accommodations were clean and quaint and served great local food, thanks largely to Hayley and her years of experience and research. We considered renting a car and driving ourselves, but we are so glad we didn't. We never would have found the accommodations and restaurants that Emma took us to. And we would have missed out the getting to know Emma and much South African culture and history.

My guide Emma was just my new best buddy. The places we went were awesome. I has the best time ...ate the best food, stayed in wonderful accommodation and overall had a fabulous time. Go That Way also organised my Vic Falls and Kruger trip. Minimum fuss and everything was super smooth. Umlani large was just the best. Saw so much and the food was awesome.

The guide Emma was very professional. We felt in connection with nature and we were able to visit everything we want. Very recommended.

I went on the 3 day Garden Route, it was a very last minute decision and probably my best decision while I was in Cape Town. Day 1 we went to see a beautiful cave and ostrich farm, it was a long drive from Cape Town so we got to see some beautiful scenary. We made it to our chalet by the beach at sunset, it was just stunning. Accmodation was clean, cosy and perfect, you could hear the ocean and walk to the beach in 5 mins. We went o watch sunrise on the beach one day. There was an amazing cafe near the beach were we good great coffee and fresh scones. Day 2 we went to the Monkey and Bird Sancuaty, and ended the day with Zip lining as it was too windy for bungee jumping (which I was not going to do anyway), it was perfectly paced with the right about of breaks and stops, I reallt enjoyed the sessions. We also happened to be driving past another amazing beach with beautiful white sand, we were lucky enough to see a Whale!!! I was screaming with excitment. Day 3, long drive back to Cape Town, we had the amazing view and the Game safai, where we saw 4 of the Big 5 (no water bufflos), it was so good, it lasted about 3 hours and we eneded the day with a nice lunch at the Game Lodge. Had an amazing steak there. Hayley and Emma, were amazing host, they took us to places where they knew the food was good, I got to try so many different foods. We have regular stops for coffee and cakes, which made my day. We were lucky to have an amazing group, it was small group of girls and we all just got along so well, Emma and Hayley left like they were on holiday with us. Hayley made sure we were fed, maybe over fed, not that I am complaining. Hayley drove all the way, even when the weather was bad at times, she handled it so well... And Emma was just so pleasent, intelligent and authentic, it was a pleasure to have met them. I wish I had more time on the tour with them and the girls I met.

Hayley Burger, stick with that name, if you're lucky enough to find her it will make your trip better, prettier, more comfortable, cheaper, easier and more enjoyable. Just be guided by someone who loves her job like she is. Thank you.
