We chose a transfer in a private car... the journey is long, indeed, but there are magnificent landscapes all along the road. The resort is very pleasant, the food is very good, and the guides are incredible! We really enjoyed the various activities, especially the canoeing and the safari! We did not see any tigers or bears (other people from our resort saw bears), but we saw rhinoceroses, crocodiles, deer, jackals, monkeys, birds... a moment out of time!
The journey from Kathmandu was long and winding but totally worth all the effort. The agent picked us up and arranged all the transport, happy with all the service. The hotel is next to national park so we did see many kind of birds in the garden and by swimming pool. The canoe and safari were both fantastic.
My first time in Chitwan, and I can’t recommend this tour enough! The Safari Experience: We didn't spot a tiger this time, but that’s the beauty of the wild. It just gives me a perfect reason to come back! Wonderful Stay: The log cottage was incredible. The rustic, cozy atmosphere made the experience feel truly authentic. The Vibe: Everything was well-organized, letting me fully soak in the nature of Nepal. If you’re looking for a peaceful yet exciting escape, this is it!
Had a fantastic 3 day stay, all organized by the operator Alpine Explore Nepal. Experienced, caring and very knowledgeable travel manager. Knowledgeful and partial guides in the National Park with a true passion for nature and wildlife. Resort with great pool, wall in wall and views of the national park and with its own rich wildlife.
I can highly recommend this tour! Everything was very well organized and everyone wanted you to feel comfortable the whole time.
This experience absolutely blew me away. You can’t ask for better service from everyone on staff. They picked me up at my hostel and took me to the bus stop and gave me my seat (and they picked me up from the bus stop and brought me back to my hostel afterwards - so easy and smooth!) The room was way bigger than I expected, it had heating (my visit was in January) and super hot showers. The food was different every day and every single meal was delicious. The activities were incredible and made my Chitwan experience completely unforgettable. From the Tharu dancing, the morning canoe ride, the jungle walk and the jeep safari I saw wild elephants, rhinos, crocodiles, peacocks and many amazing deer and birds. Plus the nature is a sight to behold in itself. Would recommend to anyone!
Excellent tour. Wonderful wildlife experiences. The rhinoceros' are amazing. Knowledgeable guides. Attentive hotel staff. Delicious, plentiful and a great variety of food offered at every meal. Fabulous showers the best we had in Nepal. Comfortable beds.
Guides were great! Pickup was absolutely perfect got me straight on and off the bus. Bus journey is long but eventually is worth it. I saw 5 rhinos and many monkeys, crocodiles and bird species on the jeep safari. The canoe is also great fun and hotel food is nice. The dance is fun however I'd recommend skipping it on the second night and instead going to the local town and grab some food while the dance is going on. The only critique I have is the elephant breeding centre, completely unethical but I understand and do not blame the company/tour in any way. I would 100% choose to do this experience again as was completely seamless even as a solo traveller I felt comfortable and enjoyed it. The lodge also felt luxurious and hotel amazing.
I've been on tour at the end of the year. On the first day, the staff will pick you up at your hotel at 6:20 in the morning and take you to the bus stop. They also carry all your suitcases and other luggage. The bus departs at 7 o'clock and takes about 6 hours to Chitwan, the destination, arriving around 2 p.m. The bus is comfortable and the chairs are comfortable, so it's not that hard. There are no toilets on the bus because they take reasonable rest breaks, but if you keep in shape, you will be fine. On the day we arrive, we will take you to the Elephant Breeding center and put you in. The fishing bridge in front of the center may be scary for those who are a little afraid of heights. The second day will be a canoe and jungle walk, jeep safari and dance show. You can see various animals and plants. Jeep safaris are windy, so we recommend wearing warm outfits. On the third day we will travel back to Kathmandu. You will be picked up at the bus stop on your way home and driven to your hotel. It was a very good tour!
Very well-organized tour, everything was planned from A to Z. The bus journey was very comfortable, the hotel was great. I 100% recommend it. The guides during the different activities were exceptional and truly passionate.
