Great guide. Despite many curveballs thrown at him such as a late coach arrival and bag difficulties, he remained flexible and offered the small group that was there a tour whilst waiting for the missing coach party. His knowledge and passion for the preservation of the site was really evident and gave us a brilliant insight into both the history and current thoughts and difficulties around further excavation works. Would highly recommend this tour.
We had our tour with Giovanni who was very good and explained things very well. He took us to the main attractions which were interesting. He was very nice and friendly and answered questions that anyone had. Would recommend this tour.

We visited Herculaneum n the 3rd October, with tempo Travel having found them via the ‘Get YourGuide’ app Tempio made everything so easy to navigate and from booking to finishing the tour we were kept in touch by messaging every step of the way, including a train strike necessitating transport being changed to coach. We were met by Giovanni on arrival at Hercolano, and he conducted the tour. The 2 hours plus of the tour was fascinating throughout and the time flew past so quickly. Giovanni was so knowledgable and made the history come alive from how life was during Roman times through the eruption of Vesuvius right up to the present time when Herculaneum was discovered and revealed. The park itself is so well presented and the whole experience was so enjoyable if not a bit melancholic when near the end of the tour we were able to see where many of the population tried to shelter in the boat sheds. Giovanni was an excellent guide, easy to listen to and so knowledgable and enthusiastic. I would highly recommend this trip and would definitely recommend Tempio travel to arrange any trips you wish to take.
Our trip was delayed one hour .we tried to call Marlu but her phone did not answer, When we got to the ticket office, they knew who we were and again tried to contact the guide. At least she should have left our tickets at the ticket booth so we did not have to pay again. She made no attempt to contact us.
My wife and I did a two hour skip the line tour of Herculaneum today with Giovanni our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable, amusing and patient. It was very worthwhile and I would recommend this tour to anyone.

Had a great experience going to Herculaneum with Tempio travel by express train from Sorrento Station. Our guide there was called Amedeo, he was so informative & personable & made our visit a very interesting & enjoyable one!!! We found a 2 hour tour was just right to learn about Herculaneum.
