2 hours sandboarding experience in Capetown

It is a fantastic experience. Really appreciate accommodating a single rider. Down is the way part, climbing back up the dunes is a workout.

I booked this sandboarding experience with high expectations, but it resulted in a serious injury and no responsibility from the operator. During the initial briefing, before I even got on a board, I fell and broke my wrist. There was no proper safety instruction, no guidance on how to fall safely, and no close supervision from the guides. I was never given a liability waiver to sign or informed of any risks. Because of the injury, I was not able to participate in the activity at all. I went to the hospital and I have medical documentation and video of the incident. When I contacted the tour provider and Viator, I was told that they would not issue a refund, even though I did not take part in the activity because I was injured during their orientation. Accidents can happen, but the lack of care, accountability, or even basic empathy afterward was disappointing. I expected safety to be taken seriously and for the situation to be handled fairly. I am sharing this so others can make an informed decision. If you book this experience, please understand that safety instruction is limited and if you are injured, you may receive no support or refund.

We had an incredible time sandboarding with Cris! My wife and I had never tried sandboarding (or even snowboarding) before, but thanks to Cris’s expert coaching, we felt comfortable right from the start. We spent two amazing hours having fun, learning, and laughing — even falling into the sand was enjoyable! The activity is very accessible even for complete beginners, and it’s a fantastic experience for anyone looking to try something new. A tip: bring sunscreen, a hat, and a scarf to cover your face from the sand. Thank you so much, Cris, for such a fantastic and unforgettable adventure!

This Operator is not reasonable. I will not recommend this to anyone. If you are 20 years and above this is not for you. You will slide down but you will have to walk your way up the Sandy hill. Thats more of an exercise than fun. The Operator didnt mention that. We had to walk to into the Dune instead of going with the Quard Bikes. Horrible Experience

We had the best experience with our guide/coach Chris Kachidza. We were impressed with how friendly he was and how were able to sand board right from the start. We definitely recommend our guide Chris. One tip - get the 4x4 experience its a bit more to pay for but you will save time and your legs by walking back up the dunes each time you go down.

I took my 2 sons Mikey and Garreth to their 1st sand dune boarding experience and they absolutely loved every second... an experience most def recommended to anyone who has time. 10 out of 10 experience for sure.. A big shout out also needs to go to our guide Chris, who was fantastic all round.

Very unprofessional. I attempted to book a session and wanted to use a Hyperli voucher. They forced me to pay directly to them to “receive commission” and when I did not feel comfortable using an unsecured payment method they refused service stating that they don’t accept Hyperli vouchers during peak periods. I opted to use another service provider instead. After reviewing them poorly they then proceeded to watch my Instagram stories and message me from different whatsapp numbers to harass me. Terrible business practices and I would worry about my safety with them.

We had amazing ~2 hours sandboarding in the Dunes of Atlantis. Everything went according to schedule and we had loads of fun. They offer sandboards with and without closed shoes so both is possible. Cool drinks are provided and you need good stamina to walk up the hill again and again and again. Great activity with an amazing guide, but be prepared to fall on our bum again and again and again! 😃

Great, unique and fun experience. The instructors were very helpful and friendly. They also provided for some shade and cold water to cool down from the heat of the sun.
