We had a tour at 6pm on 30/6 with a fantastic guide- super knowledgeable, friendly, professional and easy to chat with. I couldn’t recommend him more!
Rory was our guide for the tour, he was great and very considerate of walking pace and let us stop whenever we requested to. He spoke clearly and encouraged questions from the group. Overall so well presented, he had great knowledge and was lovely seeing a guide who was so open to others ideas and always willing to learn even on the job We had a brilliant time! Could listen to him talk all day, funny and friendly, just fantastic.
Great tour and Jed was superb! Made it fun, engaging and a great discussion. And to finalise with remembering the ladies rather than jack makes it evermore poignant.
Ben our Tour Guide was superb. Dressed the part and was very knowledgeable about the subject matter and the general history of the area where it all took place. All retold passionately and with enthusiasm. He expertly and safely guided us around the area and after the tour was finished he was gracious with his time to answer our questions. Higher recommended tour and guide.
Our tour was with Jeb. He gave a great tour. Lots of interesting stories. Highly recommend.
A really interesting and informative walking tour with Ben. It was so good that the victims were given the respect they deserved.
A truly enlightening experience. Despite knowing much about the Whitechapel murders, out tour guide also gave us some insights into other murders that happened and how potentially they could be linked to the Ripper. The tour guide, Michael, provided some very indepth information and details about the murders, he was also quite willing to give his opinion on some theories about the identity of the murderer which could dispel the myth of who the killer was! Also, the history of how the police operated at that time as compared to now was interesting to say the least...more of them on the beat than now!!! The tour took us to places that I have not been to despite many visits to the capital...all very interesting and worthwhile despite the very cold weather! We were part of a small group of 5 which made it much more intimate. possibly better for the guide too! The cost of this tour was reasonable, best to spend the majority of the day in London to really make it cost effective though. I can highly recommend this tour if any one is fascinated by this historical event.
Jed was outstanding! A true gentleman and a huge wealth of knowledge. Jed made the tour super engaging, fun and had us all transported back to 1888 in East London.
It was very cool tour. We went in the evening on Saturday, so the atmosphere was perfect, with a bit of fog and after dark. It added to the immersive experience, on top of a great guide who was very knowledgeable about the topic and the local area in general. We were excited and would recommend it to anyone who is interested in getting to know London in a slightly different way.
Rory led the tour brilliantly. He had great knowledge and made it really interesting. He also had a book containing pictures which really helped bring the facts to life! Thoroughly recommend brit icon tours and will look at further walking tours they do as I enjoyed it so much.
