Excellent Experience

The staff were excellent. We had a great time. We were lucky enough to see whales. It was a perfect day.

Good times!!

We had a great time with Captain Barry, who found us a beautiful Fin whale to watch, Gillian who showed us all how to play an ugly stick, and Gary the bartender who screeched us in with a fun spiel which included a sou'wester, stuffed cod and newfie slang. Best crew ever!!! Would highly recommend doing this in Twillingate.

Awesome Tour!!!

This was an amazing tour. It was on my bucket list to get close to an iceberg and this trip did not disappoint. There was a large iceberg nestled in a cove which took about an hour to reach on the boat. There was lots of opportunities to get amazing pictures. I would caution people that are prone to motion sickness to definitely take medication for motion sickness as it was quite rough. Totally worth it though.

Just was a boat ride

Slow boat doesn’t cover much area. Better off finding a zodiac if you can handle one. Did a zodiac tour which wasn’t as comfortable but saw whales. I know it’s luck of the draw but …..

Great crew, were not able...

Great crew, were not able to see any marine life. Not their fault but sadly expensive and disappointing.

A solid way to spend the morning even if you spot not a single blow hole!

We got lucky and saw both whales and dolphins, but we aware that this is never a guarantee. The team working the boat was excellent and we had a terrific time!

Disappointed

Very disappointed. We had a reservation for the 4:00 PM cruise. We were called the day before to tell us that it would not take place because there were not enough people. We were offered the 1:00 PM one instead. We had to change our itinerary quite a bit since we had to drive for 3 hours and 30 minutes to arrive at the cruise on time. Furthermore, there were no icebergs. If we had been warned during the call to change our time, we would have simply canceled. Moreover, at no point during the cruise were we notified that we would not be able to see any. We waited the whole time. Whales are interesting, but that was not the reason why we had booked.

Saw whales - they have friendly staff!

Two adults and a child cost us around $350 - rather pricey but once in a lifetime thing. We saw whales, about 4 of them. They knew just where to go to see them which was great. Unfortunately the boat isn’t easily movable so if one is spotted in the distance it takes a few mins to get there. It was two hours dock to dock not out on the water so I felt that could have been a little longer.

We saw an iceberg in early July 2026. Spectacular scenery along coast with skilled crew and Gary at the helm. Dockside safety br

We saw an iceberg the first week of July. It had melted to a fraction of it former size, but impressive nonethess. Even if no iceberg was visible, it was a spectacular sightseeing trip along the coast.
