Excellent trip to the Sahara

My driver Lahcen was fantastic, very thoughtful, considerate, helpful and informative, I give him 10/10. The camp staff were all friendly and treated me as a queen. The food was better than expected and my accommodation was wonderful. The whole experience was awesome. I might ache for a few more days from the camel ride but a small price to pay to ride through a sand storm and watch a storm blowing in. Then to sleep to the sound of rain on the tent and wake up to the sight of rain pouring down... how many people can say they have stood in rain on the Sahara Desert?! Mother nature decided I didn't need to see sun set or rise or stars in the sky... but I did experience rain in the Sahara! I feel blessed to have had this experience

Everything - Perfect

We had a wonderful 2-day trip to the desert with Youness. Everything went as planned. Youness was always friendly and we were able to have good conversations about the country and culture during the hours in the car. If we had a request or needed a tip, Youness was always there to help us. We felt very well looked after. During meals and in private moments, he placed great value on privacy. Really highly recommended. We would book with Toubkal Guide again straight away.

Amazing desert trip with Youness

Youness was the best tour guide we have ever had, he is so smart and kind and made sure we had an excellent time and gave us so much brilliant information. Youness is a credit to your company, as he is a gem of a person and tour guide. 5 stars all the way for him.

Sand dune, sunset camel rides, star gazing

Erg Lihoudi sand dune + camel ride experience was unforgettable. Low crowd when we visited in December, hence you can enjoy the entire sand dune for yourself (almost). The night sky is amazing. See my photos. The dessert camp itself is Le Chant du Sable (can find it on google map). We had a single camp for family of 5. Toilet facility is shared with other guests, but clean nonetheless. Do expect that this is somewhat an outdoor camping experience, so no heater or heated water or power sockets in your camp. But for 1 night, that's bearable. Our guide & driver Hassan is superb. Friendly and flexible with our photo stop requests made the long journey didnt feel that long. A stopover at Eit Benhaddou is a must (1000+ years old village / fort). Also if you are interested with local Berber carpets, is stop at a Cooperative Akhnif is also arranged. Carpet price here is already 20-25% cheaper than at Marrakesh, even without much bargaining (we bought a piece in Marrakesh few days before).

A spectacular experience

We had this wonderful experience of the desert tour. Everything was magnificent first of all our attentive, courteous Youness guide, told us many interesting anecdotes of his country. He always cared about our comfort and we always felt comfortable. Very nice and professional. We did the 1 hour walk on the camel between the two of the desert... what can I say... fantastic. Then we arrived at the camp and despite it being just my sister and I, they organized everything down to the last detail. From the dinner of 3 tajine (very good) the bonfire with Berber music.... And see the sunrise in the desert... an indescribable sight Absolutely to do if you go to Morocco We had this wonderful experience of the desert tour. Toubkal + desert

I have come to Morocco with my sister to climb Toubkal and spend two days in the desert. Ibrahim and Lahcen were with us in the mountains and we had an amazing time there, plenty of climatological adventures (wind and snow storm) so we won't forget about these days :) After, for the desert, we were with Abdul Z as a driver: we enjoyed a lot the trip, the desert and the conversation as well (and he is a really good driver as well!). It is really worth to go to the desert, enjoy the stars in the sky, the Berner music and sleep without any noise all around, after enjoying the sunset and wake up for an incredible sunrise :)
