Bahariya Oasis is located in a depression of golden sands some (56 miles) long and (25 miles) wide surrounded by a ring of black basalt hills. The town of Bawiti is built along a ridge overlooking groves of date palms and olives, apricot orchards and fields of rice, corn and vegetables.

First drive to visit the Black Desert and the natural hot spring of Valley of El Haize, then continue to see the quartz crystal at the Crystal Mountain, and the rocky formations in the Valley of Agabat.

From there move on to the White Desert, it’s a desert floor of hard white chalk stretches out in a depression of eerie canyons dotted with bizarre monoliths. These wind- eroded “sculptures” take the form of camels, donkeys, desert nomads, trees, giant mushrooms, some of them as high as two- store houses. The best time to visit is after the heat of the day on a starlit or moonlit night.

We had a great experience with Mr Syed and our camp guide for 2 Days at Safari Camping in Bahariya Oasis, Black & White Desert. From the moment we left Cairo, the journey was filled with jaw-dropping landscapes, warm hospitality, and unforgettable moments. The Black Desert with its dramatic volcanic hills was like stepping onto another planet, while the Crystal Mountain sparkled under the sun like nature’s own treasure chest. But the real magic happened in the White Desert. The bizarre chalk formations shaped like mushrooms, rabbit, rooster, etc. were absolutely surreal. Our camp guide set up a cozy campsite right in the middle of this natural wonderland. We had a hearty dinner under the stars, and fell asleep surrounded by total silence and starlight—a night we will never forget. 10/10 would camp under those stars again.

Starting in Cairo on the way to Alexandria we visited two old impressive monasteries with wonderful precious paintings. From Alexandria - a vivid town with its famous library and charming seaside we started to the Western Desert. Over El Alamein where the cemeteries of World War ll are to be seen we headed for the Oasis of Siwa- a peaceful and awesome place like the other two oasises we visited. The cities there gave us also an idea of how modern Egypt is developing: the broad highways through the desert and the wonderful landscape with the new agricultural settlements. History is always your very interesting companion: we touched the last out post of the Roman empire in the desert large ruins of a pride empire. And of course, everywhere the impressing tombs and temples of Old Egypt and the old Coptic monuments. The highlight of our journey: a four day trip through the Black and the White Desert. You can't imagine the experience of the absolut silent, sleeping in our little tents, the amazing natural sculptures, the dunes and above all our nice companions of the company. Looking very carefully for us. It was great and you will never forget this experience. Having visited Egypt for several time this trip in the Western Desert- very well arranged by Wow Tours - gave us another great impression of this country.

WOW TOURS EGYPT is the RIGHT name for this tour company. This was my SECOND trip with them in Egypt (the first was my honeymoon in 2019). Our guide SAYED was amazing in his knowledge, management, organization, vision, and ridiculous sense of humor. EVERY step of the way was taken care of...we didn't have to think about ANYTHING - WOW tours had every single step covered - from being met at the airport and safely delivered to our driver - to being met at every hotel and supported with check in - every step we were safe, looked after and frankly treated like kings and queens in the land of kings and queens!!! This was 15 days of being treated like royalty and having the WOW factor all the way. The hotels selected, the drivers and the magical experiences Sayed and WOW TOURS put together were excellent, high quality and frankly - at 55 years of age and a frequent world traveler - the best vacation I have ever had. After 2019 - I have recommended WOW Tours to friends and even total strangers when they hear my experience - but after this trip - I will NEVER shut up. We just spent an amazing 15 days in Egypt with our tour guide Sayed from WOW Tours. I cannot say enough about Sayed and what he made possible for us. He was kind,fun, completely knowledgeable, and attended to us at every moment like we were VIP. We saw that we wanted to see and more. I thought one of the most amazing things. was he planned our tour in a way that had us doing very different things each day, and at the same time having a chance to rest and regroup.
