My friend and I had several days planned in Quito on vacation, but after hearing from many people how gorgeous the Quilotoa crater is, we decided to book a somewhat last minute private excursion for 2 days / 1 night to the crater. We reached out to Nature Galapagos & Ecuador after seeing great reviews online and seeing that they offered custom/private bookings. Our tour guide (Dinello) was excellent and we really enjoyed where they booked our accommodation for the night (Hotel Mama Hilda). Fernanda from Nature Galapagos was very responsive and helped book everything 4 days before the tour. I’ve never booked a private guide/driver before and we were overall very happy and impressed with the experience. We did not visit Cotopaxi since we had already been, and instead spent the first day at the crater hiking down and kayaking, and the second day hiking the perimeter of the crater.
Dear RMM8903, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us! We are very happy to hear that you and your friend enjoyed your private Quilotoa tour and that everything came together smoothly, even with the last-minute booking. It is wonderful to know that Dinello provided an excellent guiding experience and that Fernanda was able to assist you efficiently throughout the planning process. Quilotoa is truly a special place, and we are glad you had the opportunity to experience it in a more personalized way. We also appreciate your trust in choosing us for your first private guide/driver experience. Your kind words mean a lot to our entire team. We hope to welcome you back to Ecuador again in the future for more unforgettable adventures! Regards from Nature Galápagos & Ecuador Team
Wonderful guides - so knowledgeable and friendly. Loved our accommodations in the lodge. Cotopaxi and Quilotoa were amazing. Definitely acclimate yourself before attempting Cotopaxi - the altitude can really impact your experience. We took horses back up from the Quilotoa Lagoon which cost $10 pp and worth every penny.
We went on the Cotopaxi tour and several others across 10 days. Cotopaxi, Quilotoa lagoon, Quito city tour, Banos, Alausi. In every stop the sites were stunning. Amazing driver & tour guide. Wonderful accommodation. Cotopaxi was a highlight for me.
Dear Aangle1 First of all, thank you so much for sharing with us your impressions of your tour. We really felt honoured to tailor-made your trip as you wished because we try our best to make it special. I'm so glad to enjoy the whole route in Ecuador Highlands. We adore taking highlights of passengers, as Cotopaxi was yours, as an experience to let our future passengers know what to book or focus. Best Regards, NATURE GALAPAGOS & ECUADOR TEAM
