2-Day Desert Tour to Zagora from Marrakech

Description
There is nothing more authentic than making a trip from Marrakech to the nearest desert, the Zagora Desert. This is the perfect option to discover the desert in a short time trip (the excursion is a 2 days and one night trip). It is totally recommended for people who don't want to miss the experience of sleeping in an authentic Haima (tent) Berber with more confort than you would expect in a desert, ride a camel and enjoy the unforgettable event: the sunrise in the desert. The tour covers the High Atlas Mountains, Ait Benhadou, Agdez and the beautiful Draa River Valley. It is a flexible tour and it will make stops to enjoy the different landscapes of the areas. *** Main measures to comply with requirements against COVID-19: • Sanitizing hand rub available in all our vehicles. • Protective face masks will be distributed to each passenger. • Surfaces of the vehicule will be wiped with disinfectant after each use. • Driver and/or guide will wear masks and gloves.

Overall this is a really good and worthwhile tour but there's plenty of room for improvement. On the cons: At the outset tourists were shuffled around different buses like cattle by rude and pushy guards. Our bus was really small and we had 18 pax in a bus made for 16 - really uncomfortable. There's no dedicated guide on the trip so bring your guidebooks. And there's no clarity of info on what to bring on the desert excursion. And one more: Consider that this is too long a tour to do in two days - most of it is on the bus with toilet stops at tourist cafes. On the plus side, you cover some amazing country and some interesting sights all better with some better explanation, and you can't always stop to explore. The desert excursion is interesting and worthwhile. We were a group of four and, in hindsight, we should have explored a private tour similar to this trip which I'm sure would provide a much better experience and better value overall.
