2 Countries Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland tour from Prague

Description
On this tour we will visit most interesting sites of the national park. The content of it varies between the summer and winter season. You will be picked up in Prague and we will drive first to Germany to famous Bastei Bridge. Views from the bridge are just breathtaking. After that we will drive through Elbe Canyon back to the Czech part of the park. Do not forget to bring your passport or any ID with you. We will visit the largest sandstone arch in Europe - Pravcicka brana, which is set in a countryside looking like the Lord of the Rings movie. You will love a lunch in a local traditional restaurant where we cover one meal and drink. !Only between April and October! After the lunch we will descend a hill down to the river to have a boat trip in the Wild Gorge. The scenery of the place is like a fairytale. A total distance of the hike is 8 miles, divided into three parts. Most people, who are used to walk regularly can do it easily.

Itinerary
You will be picked up in the morning at your accomodation in Prague together with all other participants. Maximum size of our group is 7. We will drive in a comfortable Mercedes van approximately 2 hours to our first stop on this tour which is in Germany. Rest room stops guaranteed.
Passport or ID needed for this part. Our first stop on this tour is famous and picturesque Bastei Bridge in German (Saxon) part of the national park. A bridge that once connected land with the castle built in sandstone rocks. We will spend approximately one hour there and we will help you to get the best pictures and learn something about the place as well.
On our way from Bastei back to the Czech Republic we will drive along Labe /Elbe river approximately 30 minutes until we will get to the gate to the Czech part of the park - Hrensko village. We will park our van there.
Bohemian Switzerland is simply the Czech part of the national park. We will spend the bigger part of the day there doing various activities mentioned below.
The most famous part of the Czech half of this park - is the largest sandstone arch in Europe. We start our hike from the parking lot. It is 1 kilometr on the road and 2,5 km up to the hill (the same distance back then). For most people this hike is easy but some people who are not used to walk or exercise it can be more challenging. Take your time. You will make it to the top in the end and the views that are waiting there for you are worth it. Little kids, seniors, they all are hiking to the top every day. You will do it too. Easily. Remember, during the winter season (November to March) the arch is open only from Friday to Sunday. Tisa Rocks labyrinth is our winter alternative.
You will be hungry. We will take you to a local restaurant to taste some good Czech food and a good Czech beer (or a soda if you like).
Between April and October only. Some people like this part the most. The gorge is really nice place. The access to it leads through long stairs in a forest down to a river. River Kamenice is in some parts accessible only via boat. And that is your trip. Boats leave from a port through the gorge and at the end of it they return back.
In the end of our day we will take you back to your hotels in Prague again.

The guid was very knowledgeable and very nice a person, We were very happy to have him and the park is very beautiful.
Marek was an amazing guide! he accommodated our group in his own car when the company truck had troubles, and made sure we were taken care of. He is polite, funny, and extremely knowledgeable on the sites. He also shared many additional insights to the Czech culture, which made the tour more meaningful. The sites we visited were beautiful and we spent just the right amount of time at each place. Highly recommend!
Votya is a great tour guide, he was knowledgeable and fun, we love the scenery but did not realize the hike was a bit difficult for us, but overall we had a great time.
What beautiful countryside. Vojta was a wonderful guide. So knowledgeable and fun. I really enjoyed the day and getting to see such natural splendors. It was challenging, but Vojta made it worth the effort.
Great experience, beautiful scenery. Our guide was very good. Double check the itinerary before booking as different trips are given similar titles
Vojta was a great tour guide, even with the rainy weather he kept the trip fun with interesting commentary and great jokes.
This was amazing! We loved the option of being picked up at our apartment. It made it so much easier. And then we had enjoyable rides in a comfortable van to our destinations. This was so much better than getting on a giant bus with a huge group of people. We were taken to the most amazing places! It is definitely worth doing. Our guide helped to make this tour extra enjoyable. He was very knowledgeable about what we were seeing and gave us so much history of the area. And the best part was, he really looked like he was enjoying his day as much as we were. And lunch was delicious! I would say that this is something you should not miss if you are visiting this area! It was amazing!
Was the best experience ever. Beautiful landscapes and great adventure. The tour guide Vojta was the best. He did a great job showing us the wonderful rock formation from the ancient times. Very friendly and professional. We strongly recommend him to friends and family
This was the worst ever experience I had during my multiple trips over my life. Do not expect the "guide" to tell you any history of the region or sand stone formations. The whole 1.5 hours on the way to Saxon Switzerland and 1.5 hours on the way back to Prague from the Bohemian Switzerland the "guide" did not say a word, instead stimulating tourists to entertain themselves by talking to each other. No less important, the so called "guide" not only does not walk with you to the Eagle's Nest and back, leaving you to the risk of anything that might happen along the road, but the worst is that he got upset that we took 1 hour and 15 min to get to the arch, instead of his ideal 40 min. Even worse, when we got there, he even did not give us time to take pictures on sit under the arch to enjoy the view. Instead, he rushed us to get down in order not to upset the owners of the restaurant. He absolutely did not care about upsetting us and ruining our whole day experience for the super high price for this kind of service. It was not a guided tour by any means, but rather a trip with the driver. There were three of us, all from the United States. The other lady got so exhausted from the rush to the Eagle's Nest that she could not make it to the prettiest and most desirable part of the trip - the boat ride. Such a shame and such a waste of money, with no emotional reward. This tour should be canceled by Viator and the provider should NOT be allowed to advertise his "service" on a reputable travel site. The mentioned above lady shared with me, that she is surprised this provider still is being offered here, I could not agree with her more. If possible, I want my money back, at least partially. I have no problems with Viator, I had very good tours with them in many countries, however this provider's service is absolutely unacceptable.
Hello. Our guide notified us you may give us a revenge review for he asked you to take a seat belt 5 times which you refused and then you got a ticket from the police during the border check on a way to Germany. Sad.
Our guide was Honza and he ensured we had a great day, we were so lucky to have beautiful weather, firstly over the border to Germany and Bastei bridge we had spectacular views and Honza told us so much about this place, this part of the hike is easy but I would recommend taking some euros in small change if you have some for toilets, the next part is the hardest part of the hike partially due to the sandy paths in places but very much worth the walk uphill for more amazing views, after we came back down my legs felt like they had a workout, lunch was next which if you've been on tours before with lunch included you maybe do not have high hopes for this part but I can say the portion size was very generous, a decent size drink as well as water for the table and very tasty in a very beautiful location, the food was ready very soon after arriving as our guide had organised things this way but not once did we feel rushed, after this it was down to the gorge , again so beautiful to see this and the gondola very enjoyable and only a small wait for. All communication was clear for pickup etc and the day was very enjoyable, I would say for this day trip ensure you are capable of walking the 12km as I imagine it would be too much for someone unused to walking ( there is an alternative trip held on different days for people who do not or cannot hike) but definitely a must do for anyone who enjoys an active day out. Thanks Honza.
