Itinerary
Lake Nakuru is a shallow alkaline lake in the Great Rift Valley. The park was created in 1960 as a bird life sanctuary. It is a beacon for leading Ornithologists and researchers for its 450 species of birds and about 30 endangered white rhinos. A few black Rhinos can also be seen. It is in this park, where the biggest forest of yellow acacia and giant Euphorbia trees can be seen. Of great interest is the rare and endangered Rothschild giraffe naturalized in this park after being relocated from soy plains of Eldoret in 1974. The greatest attraction however is the presence of over one and a half million greater and lesser flamingos that forms a flamboyance of pink colour on the edges of the lake. The abundance of the blue green algae naturally present in the lake forms the primary food source for the flamingos. Visitors can also enjoy the panoramic view of the lake from the baboon cliff, the highest point in the park. Other animals to be seen are- large herds of buffaloes, Defassa Waterbuck, Impalas, Grants and Thompson gazelles, Lions, Baboons, Cheetahs, Elands, Leopard, Spotted Hyena, Black and White Colobus Monkey, Common Zebra, Genet e.t.c, Game viewing is relatively easy.

We went on a tour around Lake Nakuru National Park with Benson on the 24th of December and had a wonderful experience. He was very knowledgeable about the animals, and his expertise on the birds in particular made the safari extra special. We saw a lion, rhinoceros, monkeys, giraffes, secretary bird, flamingos, antelopes, and zebras, among other animals. Ben was also very friendly and a great driver, we learned a lot and really enjoyed our time. Highly recommended!!
In my opinion, Benson is one of the best tour guides in the business. We found him to be very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Benson is the tour guide who will go above and beyond to provide you with the ultimate Safari experience. Excellent!!

Thank you very much Eric for this great and honest review. I'am always excited to read good recommendations from team leaders like yourself. I really appreciate the countless opportunities you have accorded me to lead and guide your teams to mission work and to the national parks over the years.I also value the friendships born out of this working relationship. I trust that the future is more brighter and will present new opportunities for you and your teams to return to Kenya, a country you love and consider to be a second home and to meet the many people you generously help through your noble charity work. My best regards to you and to all our Canadian friends.
